Try throwing a chicken breast with some bar b que sauce on the grill. Then take some veggies and put them on a shishkabob. If you don't have a shishkabob then take some veggies like squash, brocolli, carrots, potatoes (something your son will eat) and put them on some tin foil on the grill. Potatoes take longer than meat to cook.

Something that might be hard to describe online but if you understand then I'm sure your son might like would be to take potatoes and cut them like thin french fries (say maybe 1 potatoe per person). Lay them on a large piece of tin foil and add lots of butter chunks and sliced onions (maybe 1 small or 1/2 large) (the onions become very sweet). Then take the tin foil and make a bag with the potatoes in it by pulling up all the sides (leaving air) and rolling the sides together to close the bag. Now put this bag on the grill and cook it until the potatoes are soft. This will take longer than the meat.

They are buttery sweet and delicious!

GOOD LUCK

Benny Burgers are the ticket!

1lb hamburger made into pattied
1med sweet onion sliced
1 bell pepper sliced
1sm potato sliced per patty

Take a sheet of tinfoil and place a patty some onion and some pepper on it and seal it up then turn it upside down on another sheet of foil and seal that up (holds in the juice when you turn it over) repeat for each patty and put them on the grill for about 15 min per side and enjoy. You can season the meat if you want to but I generally don't cause the onion and pepper do a nice job.

You might try Beans and Weinies! This is simple since you are remodeling, kids love it, and it is also camping themed because you will be using the bbq or camping stove.

One pack of hotdogs, cut up in little 1/2 inch pieces
1 tablespoons bbq sauce
1 teaspoon honey
1 teaspoon brown sugar
couple dashes of garlic salt
1 can baked bean or pork and beans

*Saute weinies in bbq sauce, honey, brown sugar and garlic salt.

*Add can of beans, stir until warmed throughout

*Enjoy!!

Grilled Raspberry Chicken

• 1/2 cup frozen raspberries, thawed
• 1 cup raspberry vinaigrette
• 1/4 cup raspberry vodka (optional)
• 1/4 cup finely chopped mint leaves (optional)
• Fresh mint sprigs, for garnish (optional)
• Fresh raspberries, for garnish (optional)

Rinse chicken breasts and pat dry with paper towels. Place chicken in a large zip-top bag. Add raspberries, vinaigrette, vodka (if using) and chopped mint. Squeeze air out and seal bag. Gently massage the bag to mash raspberries. Marinate in the refrigerator for 1 to 4 hours.

Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Place chicken breasts on the grill and cook for 4 to 6 minutes per side. Remove from grill and place on serving platter. Garnish with fresh mint sprigs and fresh raspberries if so desired.
