Canned chickpeas (sometimes called garbanzo beans), a little olive oil, a little lemon juice, spice to your liking, blend in food processor until proper consistency. It's easy! Play with a few different ratios until you get a taste/texture that you and your friends/family like best.

Here's a good recipe from the Food Network's website that doesn't require you to buy an expensive container of tahini (sesame paste). This particular recipe is a big hit at my house.

Everyone is right. But when you look on epicurious.com, look for the one with parsley oil. I put it in a bread bowl and it wowed all my family at our last get-together.
