I made a two tiered Mother's day cake for my mom, and she took the leftovers to work to share with the girls. Now they are wanting me to make and bake them cakes. What I am needing is a price range to give so that i can charge for the cakes that i make. One woman even said that she would pay me $30.00 for a cake. Does anyone have any ideas.
Thank you,
Sarah

first how much does the ingredients cost, how much of your time and if it is way less then $30 charge that. I personally wouldn't pay $30 for a cake no matter how good but if you can get that much go for it. If you think you more $ then go higher

Add up all the costs of ingredients. Take that times 3. That's what a restaurant does most of the time. Good luck, my aunt made a career out of baking cakes from this kind of word of mouth and even ended up putting a commercial kitchen in her basement!

Depends if you want to make money on it or just recoup what you spend. You need to figure price of ingredients and then time.what is your time worth only you know.

Congratulations, you could start a business here.
$30 seems to be a good starting price for someone who doesn't have an established business. Check this website for comparison prices....
