I always buy extra at Thanksgiving and freeze them to make cranberry orange sorbet in the summer.
I simmer the cranberries in cranberry juice until theyre softened just a little and put them in the refrigerator to cool. Then I cut up some oranges over a bowl to catch all the juice (blood oranges if you can find them), mix them into the cranberry mixture and add sugar to taste and wait for the whole thing to chill down.
Then I pour it into my sorbet maker and 20 to 25 minutes later, I have cranberry orange sorbet. (A little scoop of it in some Kava or Prosecco is wonderful!)

Cranberry Sauce
INGREDIENTS
2 cups apple cider
1 1/2 cups white sugar
1/2 cup packed dark brown sugar
2 1/2 teaspoons ground allspice
3/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
2 (12 ounce) bags fresh or frozen cranberries
DIRECTIONS
In a saucepan, stir together the apple cider, white sugar, brown sugar, allspice, cloves, nutmeg and cranberries. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for about 15 minutes, until most of the cranberries have popped. Continue cooking until the consistency is thick.
Ladle into sterile jars to within 1/2 inch of the rim, seal with lids and rings. Process in a simmering water bath for 10 to 15 minutes to seal, or just transfer to containers, cool, and refrigerate. It will last at least a week if it can escape being gobbled up!

you could make cranberry sauce. just boil the cranberries in a cup of water with a cup of sugar until the cranberries burst open and look a bit like jam. You could also thaw them out and let them sit in a bowl of sugar in the refridgerator for a couple of hours then put them in the bottom of a cake pan (sugar juices and all). prepare a chocolate cake from a box and pour the mixture over the cranberries and bake it as suggested on the box. it is really good. I usually add a powdered sugar glaze on the top. It is tart and sweet at the same time!

Try a cranberry sorbet. There are a number of recipes online. I have links to a few of them below. I haven't tried it myself, but it sounds good!
You could also try a cranberry granite, if you're up for the scraping to get the texture (rather than just a gigantic cranberry ice cube).
Enjoy your cranberries!

Buy a box of muffin mix...preferably an unflavored kind or something like orange that would go with cranberries. Add the cranberries along with a cup of shredded cheddar. I know...weird...but they are absolutely delicious and can go alongside any meal.
