I just tried it for the first time yesterday and it was sooo good! I cant stop thinking about all the possible recipes I could concoct.. Have you tried it? Does anyone have any good recipes for it?

The one I tried was vanilla ice cream coated with crushed cornflakes.. yummy!

I have never done a large pork shoulder before, this is about 7 pounds. I have had a Puerto Rican friend make an AWESOME pork once, I think they used moho or something on it? I can cook it on a chargriller charcoal grill..I dont have a smoker box but I can make a smoke pack with foil or something if that would be part of the recipe. I can't wait to eat this thing! Thanks for all the help, you guys rock!

I have tried different things, different heat or amount of oil, boiling the potatoes first, or not, experimenting with times, etc. Just half the time they come out deep fried and although it's nice, it was not what I wanted to make.

My ex mother in law use to make a cream cheese frosting for her carrot cake but she used granulated sugar not confectioners sugar, she use to beat the sugar for 30 min. till it was all disolved and you couldn't taste the granulates in it, can anyone out there help me find this recipe or one like it?

A friend is moving from Los Angeles to the South. We need to put some weight on him (with his consent).

I'm making Potatoes Au Gratin.

Basic Recipe:
8 peeled, sliced potatoes
Sliced garlic
2 cups of heavy cream
1/2 pound of shredded cheddar cheese

Instead of the heavy cream alone, I'm going to make a white sauce using lard and flour and 1/3 cup of parmasean cheese.

I'm also going to fry some bacon and add the crumbles. I'll add the bacon grease to the cheddar cheese.

What else can I add without taking away from the recipe?

I want a recipe from scratch, with no weird ingredients (fruits, nuts, things that shouldn't be in tiramasu). I am terrible offended by and apposed to buying cake mixes, so i will stress again--from scratch please.
