The best burger is to use plain ground beef...no seasoning...no fillers.
Pat into patties...don't fuss over patty too much...the less it is handled the better.
Cook patties...turning only once.
When done, then add seasoning.

The buns should be toasted. Then add your favorite condiments to bun, your favorite veggies and patty...with cheese or without.
Mmmmmm...good!!!!

Are we talking about homemade or fast food restaurant. I would have to say that A double double with grilled onions from In & Out burger. As far as homemade goes I like to take a serrano pepper, red onion, and chop it up, mix it with a ground sirloin with some salt and pepper. Get your mesquite coals nice and hot Grill to med-rare, NEVER EVER EVER press down on your burger while grilling it. Top with some pepper jack chese, avocado slice and some lettuce...

When I make burgers I mix taco seasoning in with the meat before I cook them. When they're done, I put a slice of Monterrey Jack cheese on top, and it's a really yummy taco burger! : )
