The best answer I can think of is-
We live until god gets ready for us to die.
But to live healthly you have to get a variety of vitamins, antioxidents, protein from the foods we eat, and a daily multi vitamin always helps.

The average age for the American male is around 72 years, and the average age for females is around 78. In recent years we have been catching up with the mortality rate for men, so there is an unpredictability factor here. Balanced diet, exercise and good mental health are needed for a long lifespan. Most Americans suffer from high cholesteral, high sugar levels and obesity from leading sedentary lifestyles and eating more than their bodies can process. We blame fast food for this because of its high fat, sugar, and salt contents. The computer and television age has made us sedentary as opposed to the natural instinct to walk and move our bodies. Spiritual and mental health are musts in this day and age. People who are in good marriages/relationships, who laugh frequently, feel connected, and enjoy their lives tend to live longer.
