I have a small bag of yukon golds that my bf insisted we had to have, but he seems to forget they're around most of the time. Since they're still good, and there are just too many (I'm not a fan of solid taters, I like mine mashed with lots of butter), I am considering putting them in the dehydrator, after which I want to put them in the food processor to turn them into potato flakes.

Has anyone made their own instant mashed potatoes or potato flakes, and am I going about it the right way? Any help is appreciated! Thanks so much!

I am craving baked beans, but usually they are high in sugar and sodium. Anyone have a lower sodium recipe? It can be with or without meat.

It has to be low fat and I need some vegetables to go with it. I usually eat cottage cheese (low fat or no fat) to get my milk in every day.

White fish or oily fish. Or is it better to have a variety of both. I want to try and eat fish as often as possible. Love John Dory but find it hard to get in the shops here. What other fish is similar?

I know when you're making jambalaya with a crockpot, if you're adding shrimp, you add them(depending on what temperature setting you're crockpot is on) the last, say 45 minutes. Does the same go for scallops? Or do I partially cook them before I add them?
If anyone can help me out that'd be great! Also, if you have an awesome jambalaya recipe ...i'll take that too.

I am a novice cook, as my expertise is mainly on the grill BUT I have made my own brownies from scratch. What I am contemplating is adding minimarshmellows and crumbled graham crackers along with the chunks of chocolate I already have in it to make it a kind of s'mores/brownie combo. Has anyone tried this, and how do you think it will affect the cooking time. If you think it's a good idea, what are some good possible names for this concoction?

I have looked on several web sites such as Allrecipes and foodnetwork but I am just curious to what you guys have coming out of your kitchens. :) If you have a good recipe that you use pretty regularly I would love to give it a try. :) Thanks

I am in Egypt right now and I want to make lasagna and I only have a few ingredients to work with. I need a recipe for fresh spaghetti sauce. I have ground beef, green peppers, canned mushrooms, onions, fresh tomatos, fresh garlic and garlic in a jar, garlic powder, salt, pepper, basil, and oregano to work with for the sauce. I can also purchase tomato paste i think that is what it is. I also have mozzarella cheese and ricotta cheese for the cheese in the lasagna. I have not been able to find parmesan cheese or cottage cheese anywhere here in Egypt. The lasagna noodles are wide and short so I will have to figure on how to use them. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you to all

So, tonight, I am going all out. I don't want curry, I want to have wild animal sex with her later, something maybe mangoey, with cous cous or something .... please, tips and recipes would be great

I am cooking a roast dinner for my family at the weekend. My brother's girlfriend is a vegetarian and I want to cook something that I can serve with the potatoes and veg that I am cooking to go with the roast meat. Is nut roast a good idea? I havent time to prepare one from scratch. What supermarket in the UK sells the best one? If I dont do nut roast, can you recommend anything else that I can cook easily with the dinner instead?
