I am getting married this summer at an outdoor ceremony. We want a very summery feel. The colors are cream and sage green and the groom and groomsmen are wearing tan suits rather than tuxes to keep it very summery and light. My future mother-in-law told me that she bought a black dress for the ceremony... is this appropriate. I know that sometimes black is okay, but I just don't want it to look like she's going to a funeral while everyone else is in light, summery colors.

I dont have cold feet, I want to marry this woman. It's just bizarre to think about how long life is, and that i'll be with this woman for it all. I'm scared, nervous, excited, etc. Any thoughts?

the words that me and my bf would have to pronounce for the love promises of our Cristian marriage in the church (if we'll ever get married).. I mean, of course I know the words in Italian, but I don't know them exactly in English! ^^

My fiance and I have been together for over 6 years. He asked me to marry him over 9 months ago and our wedding is in about 6 months. He asked me to marry him and now says he is so busy at work. I'm starting a new career, and is scared about getting married. I have also been stressed lately since I am planning a wedding by myself, graduating from college, and that's normal. He has communicated his feelings to me, but I don't understand why is has to be postponed. My new career knows my wedding date and his work knows his. He is scared because his parents have been divorced and remarried, and isn't sure if he is ready to marry me YET. What do I do? Do I give him an ultimatum? If he is not ready to marry now, will he ever be? I been with him a long time and have been living with him for a few years, so we know each other very well and love each other. He says he still loves me and wants to be with me, but I don't want to postpone the wedding and he does. I need advice about what to do

My daughter and future son-in-law both live in different states and will be getting married in yet another state. They both have homes and furnishings. They would prefer money to help with the moving etc. for wedding gifts.

The bride said the wedding is casual and to wear something like a sundress - I have shopped till I dropped, and I can't find a sundress that looks good on me. The only dress that I have is black (very cute), and the wedding is on Saturday on a yacht off the coast of Cali. If I dressed it up with a turqoise handbag and pumps, would I be okay?

should we or shouldnt we have a lavish vow renewal ceremony and reception???? i would like to get some other opinions on this...a few people i have spoken too have tried to persuade us not to,saying we should just be happy with with what we had and get over it.........

my husband and i were married 3 years ago in las vegas, alone no family or friends, after our dreams to wed in a big lavish ceremony were dashed by my parents and by other so called loved ones, and a few other circumstances.......

we always said we would have an actual wedding and even though the one we had in vegas was special it would mean alot to us to celebrate with our friends and family....in the way we had planned to originally

i have researched the etiquette online regarding vow renewals....and so far i cant find anything that says that they are weird or just not done!i dont plan on wearing an actual wedding dress...its a white coktail dress with a hot pink sash, and we would have a small ceremony at our church with only family and close friends(about 25 or so),no attendants, flowers girls..etc,a small reception at my aunts house...something simple but elegant.no gifts,or anything like that.......

i would like to have some actual photos of us taken and have our daughter be part of it.

so anyway.....sorry to ramble on....i just wanted to see what others thought about our plans.....either way i guess i will go ahead with my plans but i wanted to see if anyone else had done something like this...or even knew someone who has and could maybe offer some tips!!!

For my advertising class my group and I are doing an advertising campaign for a local photography compnay. We decided that we're going to concentrate on the wedding section. Since no one in my group has ever gotten married we're at a stand still. SO I was wondering for the people who are married here, how did you choose a wedding photographer and where did you find your wedding photographer. Also how long did it take, what went through your mind and what made you finally choose the photographer your choose?

We put it very noticible in a different color, and people are already responding that their kids are coming. How do we remind them that they aren't invited? Phone call, note, etc. Please help! I barely know these people, but I know their kids are hellions!

OK, so I'm the MOH in my friends wedding back home ( I live very far from there now) I'm super excited!!! but here's my question. I havent been home in over a year, and i got engaged not too long before my friend did. Our wedding is planned for Sept. '07. so you know when you've moved away and then come home---EVERYONE wants to hang out and see ya, buy you a beer....u get the picture. How do I keep the focus on my friend and HER day? We both have a lot of friends and none of them have seen my engagement ring and part of me wants to be able to flaunt it a little bit (of course not at her wedding or anthing i'm not that dumb) but i dont want to take any of the spotlight from her even if we go out for a bit and run into people i havent seen in a long time. (know what i mean?)
Also, since i live so far away i wasnt able to do all the planning stuff with her. Any idea of a nice gift i could get her? or something special I could do for her prior to the wedding or on that day?

He always talks about things for "when we're married" and gets excited about building a house and living together. He is taking classes at a local school and doesn't get to work full time though so he said right now he doesn't have the money for a ring. Although he always reassures me he wants to be married I'm scared that he may just be afraid of commitment.

My boyfriend was invited to a childhood friend's wedding. The invitation is addressed ONLY to him. No "Mr. Smith AND GUEST." Am I wrong to feel slightly offended by this??

My boyfriend & I have been dating over 2 years. We've been very serious for some time, living together. We're definately not "on & off again." We're in our late 20s.

I'm totally annoyed. Am I over reacting?

OK, so I want a beach themed wedding. Here is what I am planning: Married at sunset, reception at night. Outdoors, white christmas lights, white candles lit, and white flowers here and there. I want a bonfire and I want the food to be barbequed on site. Not too formal, but still very nice.

I need ideas on a cute guest book, favors, invitations, and cake decoration. And whatever else you can think of!

Thanks!

I dont not want to have alteration done on my dress. for one reason the dress itself cost $700 and because i am so short they have to take the dress completely apart and then put it back together to make it the right length. i dont want that done and plus it would be like $300 for them to do that. so my quetion is this my dress is between 7 and 8 inches to long and i am going to buy stripper shoes but i dont which heel size i should go with. should i get a 6 inch heel or 7. Thanks alot. ** walking in them wont be a problem**

My fiance has two children wit his ex girlfriend of 4 years. In the beginning of our relationship he slept with her once whic i did not find out until later. My fiance and I are okay and I am even decently civil with her because our children obvioiusly are siblings. I want his other children to be in/attend the wedding but I do want her present on my day of happiness. My fiance says its up to me but I know his family will be mad if i dont invite her because they still keep her around and believe she is queen because she had his children first. What to do?

My MOH's not throwing me a shower 'cuz she said that's not part of her cultural tradition. When she had her shower, they threw it themselves. I'm a little bother by this. Am I being selfish for feeling hurt or cheated?
