Take into consideration the traffic on the beach as well as ships/waverunners/etc on the water when choosing a site for your ceremony.
If you pick a fairly public beach you might have some extra added attention that you may or may not be comfortable with.

First off, congrads! My sweetie and I are planning a beach wedding too but somewhere like the Carribean.
I'm not familiar with the FL area so I would recommend a beach or place on the beach where there isn't a lot of people around, unless that is something you want. There's nothing more romantic than a beach wedding during the sunset with just you, your hubby, the preacher, family and friends.

Siesta Key and the other smaller islands along that coast are absolutely beautiful. The sand on Siesta Key is like powdered sugar. It's great!

I go to Siesta Key every holiday season. It is just PERFECT! My family and I have an apartment right on the Gulf of Mexico. They just recently renovated the beach right outside our apartment, perfect sand and very spacious. I think, if you are looking to do a wedding, that is the place!

i want extra of a backyard sort wedding ceremony... like at an exceptionally staggering southern plantation, have the marriage cerimony in the interior mid-day, with the reception outdoors in the night while it cools down. i want chinese language (or is it jap?) lantern-esque lighting fixtures with yellow roses and accents of orange with the main considerable shade being white. in basic terms some human beings from the two area of the relatives (like 15-25 each and each). and the nutrition would be set up like an stylish buffet. thats all i've got been given so some distance, yet i think of that's going to be the suited wedding ceremony for me (if my destiny husband likes it too).

Anna Maria Island, Marco Island. St Augustine is a really cool place, very historic, and its not too far from Daytona Beach.

Key West is expensive for hotels...I don't know whether that would be a concern for you or guests...Destin is supposed to be gorgeous!
