the words that me and my bf would have to pronounce for the love promises of our Cristian marriage in the church (if we'll ever get married).. I mean, of course I know the words in Italian, but I don't know them exactly in English! ^^

Yes, of course I'm Catholic! (I forgot to write that too! How stupid!), but I'm curious about how it sounds in English!!!!

The traditional wedding vows are:

I take you to be my lawfully wedding (husband/wife) to have and to hold, from this day forward for better for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, till death do us part.

Here is a link that brings you to a ton of different traditional vows for different religions.

Mia Bella - Your priest will help you learn the right words to say.

I'm an American Catholic (years in Catholic Schools and everything) and I have never known a priest who didn't insist on months of premarital classes that not only cover the ceremony but all kinds of other important things too - like balancing your faith with a career and family etc. before they will even book a wedding date.

The classes are meant to educate you to the fact that there is more to a marriage than just passion. They last for so long so that each partner can examine their own faith and conscience to make the best decision - before vows are said.

It depends completely on what it is you want to say. Many people write their own vows' others simply repeat what the priest tells them to. It's up to you and your future spouse.

Your Parish Priest will prepare you both in your Pre Cana.
