Stay away from any type of material that will spot of fade if it gets wet and i would go for some type of light coloring to cut down on the heat. I know a girl that just used a orange/peach type color and her bridesmaids where all tan and it was so pretty. I am divorced and dating and I am having a winter wedding in a wedding chapel. But my first wedding was classic black and white. Try to have a place as a back up where you can get in from the weather. We got married outside and rented a large canopy to eat under and if we had to move the tables and get married under it, it was there. It did ran on the wedding day actually one of my guest called it a monsoon.

The choice is yours. You have no way of knowing if it's going to rain on your wedding day or not. Choose a color you like and stick with it. Are you planning on getting married during the rainy season? If so, I would suggest dark colored dresses (it hides the waterspots better. and your bridesmaids undergarments may not show through as they may if they wear light color.)

Sage green. I'm not really sure what you mean about the rain... but I love the colour sage green. I think red, blue and pink are probably the most common, at least from weddings I've been to.

black strapless sleek dresses-something like this:

Black is classic. If it rains, you wont see the raindrops on the material. This is a great color especially if some of your maids are a little heavier. Black is slimming and will balance out the men's suits (of course, that is if they are wearing black which I am assuming they will be-even if they are wearing white suits, it would look nice.)

In the UK it is highly likely to rain, so I would not let that influence my choice in colour. My bridesmaid is wearing cream for my September wedding

I would choose bold colors. sometimes in rain and overcast weather, you get the most amazing pictures and that would make the colors stand out even more.
Maybe something like a deep cranberry or wine color. -or-
a burnt (rusty) orange.

Well it would be next to impossible to predict whether or not it was going to rain on my wedding day or not....but my bridesmaids dresses are going to be a rich chocolately color with a deep peacock colored sash to tie at their waist.

It I knew it were the rainy season I would probably just stay away from light colors and long skirts. I would maybe go with a tea length A line chocolate brown satin or tafetta dress with either really soft powder pink details for a more romantic feeling or fushia pink details for a more fun feeling.

My bridesmaids are wearing apple (red) from David's Bridal.
I love their dresses and they look good on every one of them!
