I have been asked to take the wedding pictures for my husbands best friend. I am an amatuer photography, I am pretty good at taking pictures, just very nervous about the wedding beign at the beach. It is at 11:00 am, so I am worried it will be too bright outside. I have a digital Sony Cybershot DSC-W80/P, it isn't a Professional camera, but does that really make a difference?? I have talked to the bride and groom and they don't seem to particular about the pictures. Any help or advice on planning out the big day?

Someone jsut asked a question about cute/funny recessional songs and I have no idea what that is. Is it when you are leaving the wedding as a married couple? or the reception?

:-)

I am getting married in my back yard and decided not to do Hamburgers. Does any one have any good recipes for chicken or pork. I am having all the fixings with it.
Thank you

I am having a fairly small wedding (60 guests approx). Outdoors, formal attire but not super traditional ceremony. Must I have ushers? Can't I just reserve seats for family with some cards and have others sit where they please?

I am getting married this summer at an all inclusive resort in Playa del Carmen, 45 minutes south of Cancun. The resort is Playacar Palace and was booked through Fun Jet Vacations. I still have 45 days to cancel if need be.

Has anyone had or been to a Wedding there? Please provide any feedback either negative or positive.

Thanks so much.

I've been searching everywhere and can't find anything cute. I keep finding all the same ones and really want something different. My best friend just got married and used the Married with Children theme song which was hilarious and great.. everyone was in such a great mood afterward and I kind of want the same effect.

The catch is that, during this particular song, I'll be dancing with my new mother-in-law while my new wife dances with her new father-in-law. It'd be nice to have a slow sentimental song about welcoming a new member of the family, general friendship, taking care of one's son/daughter, etc. Any song suggestions?

made up, real, from a book, what ever....

- big events in our lives should be done under the open sky
- it is bad luck to be married after noon
- the bride and groom must go into isolation for 14 days before the marriage
- and many more please

An immediate family member is getting married and wants me to be a bridesmaid. I'm happy for her and want to be there, but the wedding involves a trip to an expensive resort and we just cannot afford the expense. Our family income cannot afford luxuries like outside trips. While I realize it's her dream day and it's important to her, how do I get her to understand this???

I work a lot of hours at my job and I just can't afford to pay $800 to $1000 for a trip. We can't afford a loan, don't have space on a credit card, and she's ticked off that I told her no. If we go, it means that we can't pay for our house payment, and my boss has already told me that I can't take the time off from work. I've just gotten a full time job and we're trying to catch up on bills. The wedding is in 3 weeks, and this wedding was planned at the last minute.

As a bride, how do you recommend that I get her to understand? I love her, but I just can't afford to go.

She and I were close in 9th or 10th grade, then werent so close later on. we graduated, then she went off to the military, I went to college. We have exchanged a handful of e-mails over the past 8 years, but nothing more than that. On one hand I have to wonder if, due to her multiple international deployments, she doesnt have many friends to invite or who could make it. I'm probably the only one from high school that she still knows, which may be why she's inviting me, so I feel bad. On the other hand, the truth is we are not really friends now, I don't really know her now, I am not loaded with $$ for a gift, I wont know anyone there and it's kinda pointless to go. im stuck!

Things started off great with my girlfriend of 2 yrs, now fiancee with a normal amount of romance for the beginning of a relationship. She is my best freind and I love her, but a few months into the relationship she became less and less interested in sex. We have only done it once or twice in the last year and it's driving me nuts. We have talked about it and she tells me she still loves me but no longer has a sex-drive. She has agreed to go to a therapist with me, but I am affraid this pattern will continue. I don't think I can live like this and regard intimacy to be an important part of a relationship. Any suggestions? Should I marry her?

Before you answer this question don't bother if you are going to tell me my Biological dad should attend...............
Long story short. This man is an alcholic, drug addict and all around unkind person. He is responsible for the death of a family member and I haven't spoken with him in over a year. Having him there would be upsetting to everyone.

I'm very close with my Stepfather (who has been there since I was 2wks old and has raised me as his own) so he is taking on all the FOB responsibilities.

My question is how to handle questions about his absence. Only family and very close friends know the backstory & I look so much like my step-dad everyone thinks he is my real dad anyways. Its the dates of friends, acquaintances, etc that are going to ask. What happened isn't anyones business, but I'm trying to be prepared with a simple answer such as he couldn't make it. Anyone who has had a similar situation please help?

my fiancee and i are getting married at the end of October, but went ahead and chose our bridal party. My financee picked a mutual friend of ours that we both know as pretty wishy-washy but a good friend. I happen to work with the friend and unfortunately he has becomea two-faced asshole [sorry for the language] he's talked behind my back when i was out of work with strep throat [& i had dr's excuse] and really become pompous and not someone we like to be around. Is there any polite way to replace him as the best man or do we just deal with it?

My partner always buys me cheap presents. for xmas i got cheap straighteners and candles. His son got £175 phone. It didnt bother me too much but he has bought me an engagement ring and left receipt lying about - it cost £80. I wouldnt mind but he earns over 2K in his hand a month and has savings. Also last month he bought his ex wifes daughter a watch that was nearly £200 .

I feel like i am being a selfish and spoilt re this would anyone else feel upset. I am not usually so materialistic but this has hurt me and makes me feel second best on what is supposed to be a special day.????? .

Just thinking....it's midnight.....If a girl and guy plan to get married I know it's customary for the guy to buy the girl's wedding band, but what about the guy? Does he have to buy his own (this sucks) and the girl gets the new beautiful (expensive) ring she can hock at a pawn shop anytime? Or does she have to buy his wedding ring??? (I know it doesn't relate well to chivalry or being a gentlemen and stuff, but when you answer please don't be opinion-nated with those ideas) If possible, talk about your own experience with this.
