Marriage & Divorce - 10 December 2007

Alright...long story short...my bf and I have been living together for just about 3 years, before that we had been best friends for about a year. We talk about marriage frequently, and 50% of the time, he is the one bringing it up. Yet when we ACTUALLY speak of it seriously, all he says is, "soon". But i've been hearing "soon" for 2 1/2 years. We both have stable careers, we own our house, vehicles, etc....we do not have any debt, so I know it's not a money issue....what else could it be and how long should I keep waiting for "soon" to come?

Well my ex boyfriend has really pissed me off in the past and I am still a little pissed off and I think he knows that but today he showed me the Christmas present he was giving me. It was gorgeous, I mean it was a beautiful silver and diamond necklace but I don't know if he has changed. Should I take the chance?

Long story short....
Me and my wife were married and had a daughter in Southern California. We separated and she left with my daughter up to Central California (about 6 or 7 hours away). She then issued a child support order on me and I have 32% of my pay garnished weekly. She keeps telling me that if I quit my job, move up to Central California to be closer to our daughter, and take her 50% of the time, she will pull the child support orders. I do want to be closer to my daughter, but my question is:
Is what she is saying even possible? Can you just pull child support orders at a whim? I'm afraid if I quit my job here and leave everything behind, the court system will take me down finacially once I get down there with backpay and such. Then I will be in a worse off situation since I won't have a job, home, or any type of security. I want to be closer to my daughter, but don't want to be homeless in doing so.
How easy/fast is it to stop child support?

I would appreciate input from people who don't just want to slam her, because I really don't need that right now..I am confused and need good advice!

She has been married for over 10 years, they have a child together (9 yrs old).

She says she has met someone else. She says that even if she hadn't met someone else, she would still want out of her marriage...now that she knows what is out there.

She married her husband right out of high school at 17 (not b/c she was pregnant--military).

She thinks she will get full custody just by asking for it. I tell her that's not how it works.

She can't just take their kid and move, can she? Please help, this is my sister...and my neice!

I don't know what to do. I live with and am engaged to a man who is driving me crazy. He makes our lives a real roller coaster ride. He is always getting mad about situations involving money issues and also my 2 gradeschool age children, my family and my ex-husband (who I went through a child custody case with and rarely even speak to). I will be giving up a lot in terms of lifestyle for my kids by leaving, but he is very controlling and making my life extremely stressful. I'm scared though, and I don't know if I can make it on my own financially. Also, what would more changes mean for my children? When I talk about leaving, he gets really angry because I didn't try to work things out and tells me that he hates me, I am selfish etc. I have tried. I am currently in counseling (therapist said there is not much hope) and tried antidepressants. I am very easy going. It seems that he gets angry over everything. I consider myself to be a very nice, attractive person. Help!

im 23, she 23 She broke up with me, citing that she couldn't take my complaining. I was complaining because she wouldn't do anything with me and she being cold. We found out that she was pregnant, i didn't want it at first. I changed my mind. We had some fights and she would go to her mother house more often for random reasons, sometimes she would sleep over. My house was far from her job, so she would say that it not worth the traffic to come here. One day she said that i need to find her own place, then a few days later maybe we can find a place together. One day we got into an argument. And she lefted me, end relationship, and had the abortion- but it was planned that day. We talk, and she listen to consoling idea, but changed her mind the next day. she was flirting with me all week, then she let me kiss her. then next week she was like you not my man so don't expect that from all the time.she would ask me for phone sex then get mad, when i try something with her.now.............

I'll try to be breif as possible. me & my ex have a 4 yr old together. we are still doing paper work & in the process of him getting visitation. so there isnt anything set in stone yet. but i have been voluntarily letting my ex keep our daughter every other weekend so she can get used to being with him. we've each have been driving & meeting half way to do the swap (and with our work schedules, 7:30PM seems to work out best). we agreed to both being present when we drop off or pick up our daughter. lately HIS MOM has been wanting to do the pick ups instead of my ex. she thinks our time frame is just too late in the evening but that's the only convenient time for me. and from my understanding when my child stays with her father, he doesnt make her go to bed until midnight or later... should i tell his mom to butt out or let her get our child, or not back out on my word & have my ex come and get our daughter?? 7:30PM or not at all???

wife and are seperated she makes it hard to be with my kid. shes says that she doesn't know who am anymore and doesn't trust me around our daughter. our daughter is very happy to see me though. i never did anything to harm her.

Im crying right now. I caught my dad watching porn and porn videos underneath the bed and history of porn websites. When i got home from school, I went on the computer and it was logged under his username and desktop and I was looking under the recent websites hes been on and theres porn video websites everywhere. He wasnt working today so I think hes been doing that all day. It really makes me sad to know that my dad has been watching this c rap and i dont believe in it. he doesnt know i know but still. it really makes me mad and my mom and dad are married but fight off and on but right now i just want to bash his head. i hate him so much right now. hes coming home soon so what should i do? im only 13 years old

Have felt this way all year , and have recently found myself extremely attracted to someone else. I married very young, and wonder if these feelings will pass. Is 36 too young for a mid life crisis? In 20 yrs. I have never felt this way about my husband nor have I ever been attracted to anyone else. My marriage has been far from perfect , but i have always stood by my committment. However . recently this has made me very depressed. Any advice appreciated.

Well I was in a relationship with a guy I loved so much and we been together for about 2 months. At first everything was so great, it was the best feeling ever, he always made time for me and treated me so good. I loved him so much. Well then about 2 weeks ago.. he begins making excuses not to see me. He only lives 30-40 minutes away so it's not far.. but he keeps breaking plans and blowing me off every weekend. But yet telling me he loves me and misses me.

Well today I told him I was tired of it and broke it off.. it hurt so bad... and I told him maybe we can be together if he moves closer, and he goes, "Well we will see about that.."

I can't stop crying.. how do we go from that much in love to him acting like that?? I'm so upset... Do I have a chance again?

So my parents are going through a divorce and i am living with my mom, now i literly hate my dad he treats me like **** and there is no posible way to change his ways not even cousiling, anyway he always emails me and calls me and every time i talk to him i cannot find the courage to tell him to back off. I have been dating a guy for almost 4 years. he proposed to me this Feb. I love him dearly. last night my drunk b/f got drunk and pee pee in floor in front of toilet and then tor up my handle to towle rack thing then acted stupid like all drunks do then when i took him to work he walked out and called me to pick him up they never fire him cause he is a hard worker i think they should anyways we got into it in the front yard and when his boss called i told them he is right here and gave the phone to him boy did he get pissed then he started getting loud so i called my preacher momma and she talked to him and i told her i need to get rid of him before he drives me crazy and she agrees and then he passed out on coach which he is still there. my question is i was trying to wait tell after xmas to kick him out for i have no money for the kids presents but, i am so tired and sick of this life can i wait another month to do it? what should i do when i have no money and no way of getting money for the kids? am i just screwed or what..thanks for yout help and to top it off i am sick

My hubby and I broke up last month and I haven't called him or his family, etc............since. BUT he calls my mother from his friends house and his new cell phone number where he can easily block the numbers but he doesn't. The numbers he is calling from appear on my mom's caller ID without him *67. BTW, He calls my mom every other day. I ignore him completely. MEN: is my silence driving him crazy?????

Right, my mom is getting re-married to... the guy who she cheated on my dad with. This all happened so fast and she hardly knows the guy. She cheated in such a bad way he got beaten up. My ex-husband sent me an e-mail saying that I under no circumstances should think of moving into an apartment with my 15 year old daughter. We have been living on our own for a few months now and I was under the impression that my daughter told him.

We were living with my parents and it was getting uncomfortable and my mother asked me to move out.

I wonder now if I am accountable to my ex-husband because of our child or if I have to look to my own comfort and sanity also. I could have sacrificed my own happiness and lived with my parents, but it was getting difficult especially with my mother who is rude and cranky and cries easily for no reason.

I keep questioning myself and don't want to face the issue with my ex-husband and it makes me made that he thinks he can still tell me what to do just because our child is with me. Does that give him the right?

After I caught him, I dumped him and then he got back together with his ex. Told her he loved her.

So why does he still look at my private myspace page every night? Its been almost two months.... and he is still looking at it every single night.

If he is with her and cheated and lied with her, why even care about me?

Again, its private (i track who looks at my page), he has no access to the info... just my log on date and picture and quote.

Why would someone do that?

So I have child support court tomorrow and my ex is telling me that it will be a wasted court date cause he wont have all his paperwork they are asking him for by then. He is hoping to walk out of there without a judgement against him due to the fact he has failed to get his medical coverage statement and is 2006 tax info. Does anyone know if this is going to matter or not? They have his wages from his job already I just cant see them letting this man walk out of there when he has not paid a dime in child support in 8 months. Any info would be appreciated. I have all my info.
