it depends on spouse. whether your partner demands that they respect you... and if spouse totally supports you. without that... you could be in trouble. unless you separate yourselves completely. down the road you could be blamed for that.. though

In my personal opinion, Yes you can live very happy. My mother does not like my husband, I use to visit not any more she lives 20 min from where we live.

Probably not. There's some reason they hate you. Are you certain they actually hate you? Why would that be? If you want the marriage to work you need to have at least a civil relationship. Give it a shot.

its hard when the in-laws live near by trust me i know. been there done that. but thankfully mine moved to idaho it was the best gift she ever gave me. good luck i know it doenst help much but what can i say.

yes my in-laws used to hate me. but they realized I was not going any were and only hurting my husband.

absolutely!!...my best friend doesn't get along wih his mother-in-law...but the relationship between his wife and her mom are separate...and it's important to keep it that way
