Is it one big package deal? Or do you feel that your vows only apply to your spouse, and you are not obligated to make it work with their family of origin?
Please explain your logic. Thanks so much for your answers!

My new husband has a tradition of spending Christmas morning with his Ex-wife's family to watch thier son open his gifts, we are both invited this year. This year however, I don't have my daughter (from previous marriage) either but we get have both children the day after Christmas and I was trying to plan a "late" Christmas morning for our house. Here's where the problem arises, we bought both children a "big" christmas gift each and then a few small gifts. The cost was split for the big gift for his son with his ex-wife and my husband says that they always let him open this at his ex's families house. I want to see if he can open it at our house since he won't have much besides that gift and her family will have alot for him to open there already. That way Christmas at our house won't seem lopsided. My husband says that things will not be changed this is how it was done long before I came along. I am desperately wanting to create traditions at our house, please help!

Why do people think marriage is just a contract you sign that you can get out of any time you want? Why do people not take it seriously any more. That is why this ocuntry is going to hell in a handbasket quick, no marriage, no families with both parents, kids raising themselves. ARGGGGG I am so mad

I am from New delhi and getting married in Feb (arranged marriage). My "would be" just e-mailed me saying that she had a one sided love with someone from her friend's circle and she was in little depression for the four years in her college. She says that she really don't have any kind of feelings for him now. Still now he is her very good friend and they are in touch. She told me this as she is guilty now..

In some ways I am glad that she has been honest with me.but, i also won't like her talking to this guy anymore. Below is my mail I have drafted to send her..please tell me if it looks ok.

"Hi,
It takes a lot of courage to come up and tell what you did. It shows that you have confidence in me and that's makes me happy.

Please don't feel guily about anything, but I hope you understand that your friendship with this person makes me uneasy and i leave it to your better judgement to decide.

I really admire your honesty and today I like you even more !

Yours,"

i see all these women posting questions like how do i get this married guys attention etc etc. i mean i am married to a normal human being no matter how much i trust him or secure about our relationship when there's so many women at ur workplace who are married or single would love to have one night stand with your husband. how do u keep peace in your mind. :( its so hard to even think that women would love to have se;x with someone or have affair with someone who probably made love with wife night before. its so nasty. any comments on how you deal with it. and women who are skanks please stay away from leaving comments.i am sure there's plenty of you girls.

My husband and I have been together for 10yrs. and married for 2yrs. Very wonderful relationship. He loves his job and I am misriable. I looked in to getting a new job that would make me happier inturn make him happier. Here's the problem, I will be taking a $5 an hour pay cut. We are in the process of trying to have a baby and possibly buying a house next year. I feel that if I stay in the job I am at, I will never get pregnant because I am so stressed. He is fine with me leaving my current job to pursue other avenues. But I hate to put such a big burden on him. Men have enough of burdens taking care of their family. He wants me and us to be happy. What should I do.

Some men/women in general think that if they are ONLY watching it's ok. I think that is cheating if they are in a relationship. After watching some things on the porn net these persons will take those thoughts to bed and want to perform these acts with their spouses to fufill their fantasy and the other person has no idea what is goin on. Is that fair?

Can someone tell me why everything seems to be my fault?
I have Crohn's ( found out about it 2 months ago) yet it's my fault that i have this, and it's my fault that we have bills to pay and can't. It's my fault that my hubby it stupid and didn't pay the taxes when he should have..It's my fault that i can't eat properly and still bleed when i go to the washroom, it's my fault that i shouldn't go to work yet, ( although he is forcing me back) It's my fault . I so sick of the guilt trip he is laying on me, i just want to leave his *** high and dry.
I wash his clothes , i feed him his dinner, i clean the house i take care of our daughter, i do everything that needs to be done, yet it is my fault.
I am at the point right now where I just want to go to sleep and not wake up. I don't know what to do anymore.
I've tried talking to him. but what's the point. It's still my fault.

I can never seem to reach orgasm with my husband.
He's tried a lot of things,
including some dirty oral things.
All it did was make me hungry.
Our sex has gotten so boring,
I'll sometimes bring something to snack on
while he does his little thing.

What sort of things could we try to spice things up for me?
Besides Tabasco, I mean! ;)
Thanks, girls!

How would you handle if you were upset with your spouse and tried to talk about your problems and what was bothering you but they ignored you and avoided the subject for several days.

Would you take that as a sign of no longer being interested in the marriage and leave? How would you handle that?

me and my husband decided to stop smoking at the same time after I found out I was pregnant, we had been wanting to quit for yrs. Anyway to cut a long story short... while I quit..... he pretend to and found out he's still smoking, its driving me nuts he started smoking in the house in front of our 2yr old again... since I put my foot down about him not smoking in the house, he goes out every night to his mates to smoke.

Got him patches he won’t use as he doesn’t believe in nicotine replacement says he want to go cold turkey and he'll stop in a few days (been hearing this for yrs)

What can I do to make him stop ?!?

I would like to get into the music business.

But it requires hours of practice. I've been into music since before my marriage, but only began taking it seriously over the past year and a half.

My wife has no friends but me, and requires lots of attention.

It's something that I'd like to turn into a career in the future, so not only does this mean creative expression, but also earning a living.

I'm 26 years old. How is it possible to put in the practice hours in this situation?

Is it too late for men to reach their dreams once they are married?

My sister told me that my husband was jealous because my brother and I talk to much. She said that in-person he told her he wishes he would have met her first and that he would leave me and our children for her. She has proof that he also called her (she did not answer), and sent two texts: one saying "We need to talk," and one saying "Are you busy?" She told me this at least a week after this happened. He said nothing. When I finally asked him about it, he said he did not remember texting/calling and did not say those things. I brought it up again the next day and he said he hated to tell me this but my sister said something to him while they were in the car waiting for me that he cannot recall, he asked :Are you serious?", and then she said "Yeah, we can get it on." He then says sat in silence afterwards. He then says that he did call and text because he wanted to be clear that nothing was going to happen. Note I have not had any problems of this sort from them in the past.
