Uh, no, you can't just take whatever you want. My wife tried that once.
Once.

No, he doesn't have to. The money is still his unless he opts to set up a joint account with you. Many married men do opt to do this, but it is not a requirement.
If you divorce him, you only get a share of his money IF you live in a state that offers "community property" laws or the judge rules in your favor.
So never depend on a man to provide for you - have the courage and business savvy to protect yourself with your own accounts and income.

Well i dont think that legally he has to put you on the account unless you plan on putting what you make in his account as well!!!! But there is a bigger issue here!!! is he not wanting to make the money that you tow make as a couples YOUR MONEY AS A COUPLE?!?!?!?! If he his saying that what he makes is his and what you make is yours then that is a bigger problem in itself!!!!! When you get married what ya'll make and have becomes joint!!!!! you might need to have a liitle talk with him about that. GOOD LUCK!!!!!

He doesn't have to add your name anywhere. My husband and I had separate accounts up until just a couple months ago when we opened a joint account. But we still have our separate accounts also. It's just common sense in a marriage that you are equal and share everything. If you get his money, he gets yours. thats just the way it is.

He has to put your name on his accounts before you'll be able to do anything with any of the accounts.

He has to put is your name on his account. If you are marrying him for money, then you won't be happy.

Well, it seems like a gold-digger question... but... After you get married, he has to add you to his account. You may need your marriage certificate if you don't have an ID with your married name on it.

Yes, as spouse you have to right to access his accounts. However, you will have problems if your name is not on there. So go to the bank with your hubby and ask for them to put your name on it.

Whoa there tiger. Slow down a minute. His estate would usually come to you if he died. Otherwise you have to be added to an account.
