My husband is looking to me for my opinion on our situation and I don't know what to do. He is debating whether or not to get out of the Navy as his contract will be ending soon. He wants to be home I want him home....but we are in debt...and his thinking is that if he stays then we will be able to get out of debt sooner, I know that would probably be the financially smarter move but he loves being a sailor...I don't want to take that away from him but we have already been apart for so long and we now have two children and I want them to know their dad. They are 3 years old and 6 months...what would you do? I know I want him home and he wants to be home I just don't want to seem like to his family that I am keeping him from the Navy they want him to say in.

I want to live in a different apartment with my daughter, while still married to my husband. It's for personal reasons. I don't want to cheat or anything, but I prefer it that way. According to law, do you think if it has any consequences to the concept of marriage?

This strange situation is creating a problem in the workplace, where I've been denied leave to care for her. She is very ill, and I am the executor of both her will, her living will.

My sister has alot of healt problems and everytime she goes into the hospital I end up with her 3 kids.I wouldn't mind keeping them but her oldest is mean to my little girl. And her health problems are because of her weight,so I have a hard time feeling sorry for her. Also she has 3 children under 3 and I think this is verrry irrisponsible of her. Is it wrong of me to be so hard on her and to not really want to watch her children all the time?

Basically recently my mom & my boyfriend got into a pretty heated fight and now he is not allowed in her house until he apoligises, etc. Of course she is a bit upset with me that I would continue to be with him when he was so disrespectful.
Well our anniversary was just a few days after the fight and we went on a little mini vacation. He ended up asking me to marry him yesterday & i said yes.
So today I get home and I had to go straight to school so I didn't want to just say hey mom I'm engaged and run off to school. And now I'm home for a hour before class again and she is sleeping.
How should I tell her???

I know what it stands for, I am just curious if it is a compliment or derogatory. Because it somewhat means both ways depending on the context. For example like during our company party, I over heard a few female coworkers who just recently got Married would like to be a "MILF" when they turn forty. Now that would be a compliment right? But if you called somebody's mom a MILF is that an insult or a compliment? I would like to know mostly female responses. Especially the ones who have children.

I know that this is holiday season and splitting with my husband would be a really cold and insensitive thing to do, but I honestly do not love him and do not want to be married anymore. Does it really matter when? I would hope that he would look at it as regaining his personal freedom and be able to enjoy the holidays more with the family he says hates me so much.

We have been apart for almost 5 years. He has remarried and all I can think about is the life he has with his new wife. She is beautiful, makes good money, they live in a house that is my dream house.....everything I do to try to get him back - backfires on me...I want him back so badly....I had an affair while I was married to him. How do I get him to come home to me and our children.

The good times are great, the bad times are horrible. Now the one major thing I stress over $$ is the last straw. I feel like this person is pushing my limits. I can deal with the control thing the name calling. But I cant deal with someone using me for money. I've tried to lead by example share my financial tricks but my mate spends and spends and I have to pick up slack when can I be done?

Married folks..Do you have a financially healthy relationship?? Do both of you look together at the monthly budget together...Look at all the monthly bills together?? Sit down monthly and adjust the income together to put in savings or pay a bill off???

Seriously. By reading some of the answers on this forum, I get the feeling that some respondents have never been married, or have only been married a year or so. The result, some strange advice based on a very idealistic view of how things work, or don't work in a marriage.

I mean, when I answer a question, I have 16 years and three kids to fall back on. And you can tell which other respondents have actually been through their fair share of experiences, too.

Not really a question. More of an observation.

Men if you have such a problem with women why be with one?
Im sick of hearing men complain about women and cry about the woman that hurt them and then they go out and get into a relationship and chase the woman away with their negativity. Why do you even want to be with a woman if we are as bad as you claim? Why cant you get over your heart break man up and move on?

I am 41, she is 44. Both of us are divorced with kids from previous marriage. She told me that her husband "dumped her" after 22 years of marriage. She is also very private about what kind of property settlements she got (money issues). She lives very well on a teacher's income, so I know something more happened. My family is fairly affluent. She never makes the first move on anything, except on "i love yous" and wanting to talk about "future" and marriage. We've only been together for 2 months. (But that's quite a long time for people our age and we have spent a lot of time together). I recently dug into the courthouse papers and found that SHE was the petitioner on her divorce, not her ex. However, she may have had no choice but to file against him since he was out of the state at the time and she probably needed $$ help. Maybe that's why she is the one that filed. It just bugs me. What should I do? Does this smell like true love or someone who may be after $$?

I want to know what the hell makes men so interested in video games that they would rather play Halo than have sex with their wife/girlfriend?

I have people constantly complaining to me that their man wants the damn game more than them. Most recently, my husbands friend was telling him that his GF came to the door in only a black lace bra and panty set and asked if he were coming to bed. Now this idiot looked at his WOW (World of Warcraft) then at her and said "naw." LOL and my husband cant explain it to me, cause he wouldnt even think about putting a game ahead of me, so I thought I'd ask the answers community.

What makes a man turn down sex for a video game? How would/does this impact your marriage/relationship? Do men realize that rejecting your wife for a video game=less desire for sex?

my husband & i will be married only a year this december, and only together 2 yrs. we're expecting our first baby ( a little girl! ) around the end of Feb.

i'm worried that things will change for the worse. we've had some tough times. we kinda rushed into things, but we're determined to make it work because we love each other dearly. (it's just a matter of fine tuning our communication styles, really, which we've had some progress with)...

the thing is, i'm worried about what adding a baby might do to us... kids are so demanding, and so is a marriage (esp one so new & needing a bit of work)

how did your marriage change after having your baby?
how did you keep it strong?
do you have any advise?

thanks!

me and my boyfriend make about 31,000 each. we are considering getting married, but think it will mess up our tax refund, meaning, we would get less.

also, i'm about 7 months pregnant, so from a financial (no moral) perspective, would it be better to get married and file joint or remain single.

also, i make too much money (i know, sad isnt it) for financial assistance, daycare assistance. so that sucks. i'm breast feeding throughout 12 months, so not in need of formula yet, but will be if my son doesnt take to the teet. please help!

What would you say or do?
If your sitting if front of your computer checking your mailbox when all of a sudden your husband or eight years tell you:
(With all your respect but I've just seen moments ago over the internet the most damn good looking woman ever I've ever seen.

Ok I don't know if maybe I'm over reacting but I felt disrespected and very hurt. I don't know if it was the way that he said or the fact that I thought I was that woman in his eyes.
But girls I don't feel the same ever he told me those words.
Something ain't right anymore between us and I don't know if I'm over reacting but this is how I feel.

Can some of you married women out there give me your opinion. What do you think? How would you react? And what would you do? Thanks.

My wife always tried to control me. She filed a divorce a year and a half after we got married. I asked her more than a year to go to a counselor together. Finally we went to 2 different counselors but she did not show up the second time because she says: I am smart and educated and I know what is right!
Both counselors told her not to scream and asked me to leave the house as soon as she screams. This way I can never tell her that she is wrong. She screams, swears and just do not listen.
For more than 3 months she said she will leave the house and she is finally leaving. She hurt me a lot. I should be happy now but I do not know why I feel very bad. I tell myself I tried everything and maybe when she is alone she thinks about what she did.

I do not say that I am perfect. No! But at least I listen and I am ready to change my bad habits but she is not!
Tell me what the best is to do in my situation. I think it is good that we will not be together for a while. But I know it is going to be so hard… any suggestions?

I am 35, handsome, business owner … but you know that you can not find happiness there… happiness is where you can love somebody…

If it has...

- What did you do for a living and were you comfortable financially after the divorce?

- How big of a dent did it put on your credit score?

- If you were ever in the military, did you ever lose a security clearance?

- How many times have you been divorced?

any other details? Thanks for sharing

My husband completely changed after marriage. We have a 9 month old son that he isn't very involved with. He has left for two weekends this month to go on hunting trips. He expects me to sit at home with nothing to do while he is gone. Over the w/end I had a friend over and we had a couple drinks. He texts me with the simple words "im getting sick of u" and when i try to call him back to ask him what he's talking about he wont answer, or picks up and hangs the phone up on me. I am sick of his immature games, when he got home and I brought up the subject of how wrong what he does is he doesn't want to talk about it. I am basically over this. Help anyone? Should I let it go? This has been ongoing for at least a year.

8 years of complete lack of apreciation, never having time to read a good book, tending to two children with NO help while he hangs out with his friends, and more bad memories than good. He says that he wants to work it out, but I just don't want to. I have always thought of our two boys and do not want to put them through this, but at what point do I deserve to be happy? Which is worse - raise children in a home where both parents are miserable or in two households where parents might have some joy? What am I up against?

I went with my firend to a store and bought an oral toy. I have used it once and didn't liked it really. I paid double the amount which was offering on internet. My husband saw it in my bank statement online then he asked after 2 weeks what did I bought I told him I bought a toy. He got upset he said" if you hide these things from me. You can hide anything." I am in my early pregnancy. He already has doubts because he asked for paternity test. It was a different story. I came from very traditional background and I will never think of cheating on him. He went to work without saying me bye or kissing me. He is mad on me. I don't know what to do. I am not even using it. I didn't told him because I thought he will be offended and which he was. I don't know what to do. Do u have any idea on what to do now. I apologized him but he is mad.
