I want to live in a different apartment with my daughter, while still married to my husband. It's for personal reasons. I don't want to cheat or anything, but I prefer it that way. According to law, do you think if it has any consequences to the concept of marriage?

There is none at all. the only consequence is the danger having the third party because you are away from your husband and you have responsibility to him, he can use that ground in court to file a legal separation or divorce. think twice before you do your plans. If you are ready to lost the marriage then no problem with that.

The only "legal" consequences I know of is more living expenses. My husband and I were separated a lot while he was in the military.

But... why would you WANT to live apart from him? The unintended consequence could be divorce.

Your still married in the eyes of the law and he is allowed to spend as much time with the child as he wants. Really if you want this why not just get a divorce this sounds pathetic and juvenile. Really I think you need to grow-up and realize what this would do to your child. Please explain the personal reasons ie: is he abusive, is he a drunk, does he have a drug problem, do you fight all the time?. If you just say personal reasons it has such a broad range it could be he snores to loud. Really to get a real good answer tell us why you want this?.
