I know what it stands for, I am just curious if it is a compliment or derogatory. Because it somewhat means both ways depending on the context. For example like during our company party, I over heard a few female coworkers who just recently got Married would like to be a "MILF" when they turn forty. Now that would be a compliment right? But if you called somebody's mom a MILF is that an insult or a compliment? I would like to know mostly female responses. Especially the ones who have children.

If somebody called you a MILF would you consider it a compliment? Or an insult.

Anyone who thinks it's a compliment is missing the inherent facts in the acronym. "Mother" means someone who really should not be all that attractive.......... insult. Stereotype, degrading. "I'd" = ego, me, me ape man, me do anyone I can; "****" ditto on apes.
It's amazing that some women answering here can't seem to see clearly that this is another woman-bashing word. Where are the "DILF" ? Hmmmmmmm? Tha'ts Dads- where are the women who say "Oh there's a DILF?" - And there may be Dads they would, but notice that it isn't said.

Well, I've been called a MILF. I'm 50, have three grown children and have been hearing it for at least 10 years. I guess the fact that my children's friends think I'm attractive is flattering, however, would you want to tell your guy friends that their mother is a MILF? I'm happy and confident with who I am and it doesn't matter to me that men (boys) think of me that way. In a lot of cases, who wouldn't they want to ...... so is that really a compliment?

I guess people will say what people will say and I can't change that but I could honestly do without the term. Hope that answers your question.

Well I guess it depends on who says it, how it is said and how comfortable I am with that person.
If a stranger came off the streets and was like, "Hey There MILF" that would probably not be a good thing. But If its a friend of mine or family friend it wouldnt be so bad, for me anyway. I dont get mad easily but also I guess it depends on the mood. But knowing what it stands for could you image as a guy going up to a woman and actually saying "Your a Mom I`d like to F&$&!" That wouldnt be right would it, so why is it ok to say "Mrs. Smith your a MILF!"?

That probably depends on the person you're saying it to. Personally, I wouldn't take offense to being called a MILF. It'd be nice to be considered that way when I'm older and have children. But some women don't need or want confirmation from others that they're still attractive. Just be careful who you say it to

I think it's a compliment but I doubt that most women feel that way...

My reasoning is guys will be guys, so like it or not guys are going to say things like this... I just figure might as well take how it's meant, and I tend to think that guys mean it as a compliment.

Depends on the person's age and the context in which its used. When my step-son's friends say it, its kind of gross - to me they're just kids. When they're college age brothers say, it ain't so bad - especially since they're over 18. If its used and there is a lot of conjecture on whether its an accurate assessment, then it would be an insult.

Depends on the woman.
When I have children I wouldn't mind it. It is a compliment afterall and we woman love our compliments. lol

If someone is acting on the comment when they know full and well not to, or it's said is a dirty skeezy way, then that is when it becomes inappropriate, in my opinion anyways.
I think it's meant to be said in a joking context, anything outside of that is kinda creepy. lol

I would definitely always take it as a compliment. I get told that a lot and it makes me feel really good. I have a 9 year old and a 2 year old. It just means that you are a hot mom. I don't really take it as someone telling me that they want to f*** me. I've had women as well as men tell me that. I hope I will always be a MILF. The day people stop saying that to me, I will start to question my hottness!!!

This is derogatory. I am a young mother with children and I feel it is disrespectful. I like when men are attracted to me, but any man that would use this phrase is classless. There are plenty of other ways to compliment a nice looking woman who happens to be a mother.

You're right...It's both a compliment and an insult. To a woman who's intent is to stay loyal to her hubby and have some kids it would be insulting...on the other hand...To a woman who has had the kids and wants some variety in her sex life it would be a compliment. Personally, I try to stay out of people's personal lives and reduce the sexual aspect to its baser human nature/need. In that way I don't need to deal with MILF or any thing other than the ACT itself. PEACE!
