my mum thinks my dad is having an affair with one of his old work collegues. I know its not true, but if i tell my mum, she will know i was eavesdropping (accidently). I am 13 and i have an 18 year old sister, and we both would hate it if they got a divorce over this. they argue a bit anyway over things like this.

I'd welcome any viewpoints/suggestions. I've been with the same person over 10 yrs. We have history and love for each other but we're light-yrs apart in our outlooks and interests. We just had a terrible argument and I'm feeling awful. He's been out of a job and was telling me his ideas.. He'd like to open a sporting good store. I started thinking of loans, pros and cons, profit, etc. Then I wondered something else.. If he'd want me to work for him since I'm his mate. I said, "Do you expect me to work for you?" maybe not the best words but he flew off the handle. I support him but I'm not really into sports so it's hard for me to get enthused about these things. He remarked that I only care about art, poetry, and music. Well, I know about that and have a passion for that. I was only saying if I quit my current job, it will have to for something I have a passion for. Is that so bad? I work, pay all bills, do my best and I feel worthless in this relationship. I can't live on ESPN.

I live in Michigan. got served divorse papers today, can't afford an attorney and don't qualify for free advice. got married 10 years ago,had a child and due to myself being abused left after 3 years. We stayed married because he said he would on day inherit money and after 10 years that is a reality as his father has passed. Now I get served and he wants to, get his, have his child support lowered from $109 a month and my child doesn't get any of this inheritence. What do I do? I don't want his money but want my child support. He has hidden his money from the court and says there is none.

I spent 8 years of my life with this man. I took care of him and provided for him financially. I moved out 3 months ago but still continued to see him and help him with his rent bills etc.. Now all of a sudden his ex wife his starting to bring his 9 year old daughter to see him He signed his rights away to this kid. I have not spoke to him in 2 weeks because I went by his house at 11:30 one night and she was still there. He said she was staying there with the kids. He said there was nothing going on between them but I just dont trust it. She is having problems with her husband any way and he supposedly molested the little girl. I dont know what is going on with that. So I have not talked to my boyfriend in 1 week and 1 day. I just wonder why he will not call me. I spent 8 years of my freaking life with him.

I mean, like you get married, but then you found out something super important that you overlooked that gives you problems down the road?
Or if you're totally happy, what do you attribute the happiness to? How do you work everything out so everything runs smoothly?

Neither of us has dated seriously in a long time (a year or more.) We're mature, financially stable and have our own lives going. Never married/no kids. What's the best advice you can give me? I really want this one to work.

I was the one that found the porn on my mums computer that my bf of 2 years had been looking at, it popped up again so I decided to delete it all and do a full search as an 11 year old uses this computer and I did not want her to come across it as easily as I did. and he has been watching fisting videos?! this actually makes me physically sick, I am crying I feel so repulsed by him. the worst part is this whole time he has told me he hates these movies etc etc. I have looked at porn so I am not a prude, but I did it when I was single and I did not get turned on by fisting. this is driving me nuts, I know I cant talk to him about it because he will just tell me how I need to get my own life and stop controlling his (it happens everytime we have an argument, wether it is him in the wrong or me) and I cant be bothered saying sorry for my feelings. is this the last straw? I love him to bits but I dont want to feel sick!

Why do people always expect relationships to take care of themselves?

Just as you have to work at your career to succeed or work on your body to have a good figure, you also must work on your relationship to have a good one. Don't take things for granted, put in your effort, and you'll be rewarded.

Attention is flattering. Put in the work.

They are so unhappy together and have tried to resolve it for years, but go round in circles. He's working mega long hours to be away from her.
I have just started working with a lovely person and I commented that she'd be great with my friend - the conversation evolved and it turns out she knows this bloke well. So now I have two friends, one married to him and one who really likes him alot, and I have kind of told my colleague that his marriage is on the rocks.
How do I handle this?!!

Why are there so many women out there complaining about women being "objectify" when there are already stuff out there for women? Male strip club, play girl magazine etc..etc..? That basically even it out.

I mean, you never hear us Men whine and complain about being objectify.

hello, please help me, am into a lot of unhappiness. mine is an arranged marriage, my husband is sweet to me most of the times. however, he had confided in me about a chinese girl he fell in love with. he did not have an affair with her, but had been to a movie. He enjoyed her company a lot and fell in love with her without realising it. When people started noticing them talking most of the time ( theyw ere collegues, but she is not here anymore) he realised he's gone far though no marriage was possible between them. So, before it became an affair( ie a formal announcement/ crossing the limits) he moved away. she did try to make things work, but he dint show much response only because he could not marry her( he is frm a traditional family, and he believes in rituals and family a lot too). He told me though he did love her, its past and its over, and i am the only one he cares for in his life. I felt it was reasonable, and was happy with him. This girl mailed once after our marriage ,

its more likely then not going to fail and the consequences of a failed marriage especially for the man if there are children involved are enormous. the mother can go off get remarried and have all the support from the new husband plus make her own money of course and the ole ex husband still has to shell out a thousand bucks a month for a child he sees rarely and who is usually brainwashed to favor the mother. it seems like it is advantageous for a woman to get married have kids, divorce and then get married to someone new , she will have extra money for the next 18 years coming from the ex. why on earth would a guy want to get married these days with things being the way they are.
I'm sure this question will offend some people but it really shouldn't, if you open your mind and think rationally rather then just jump to the defense of women ,you will see that im speaking the truth as screwed up as it is,it shouldn't be beneficial for a woman to divorce her husband.

Guy is 54, divorced, and has kids as old as his new bride. She's 24. I feel that the fact he has money did play into her decision to marry him, although she says it was love and not money that influenced her.

What do people think of a marriage with this age difference lasting?

I was married for 23 years and have been eligible for disability for over a year though I am 57. I spent years raising his children when I could have been contributing to my own benefits. We divorced after 23 years and I'm told I can't draw on his benefits until he dies.

I know a married man who sleeps around with anyone and everyone he can. Its like he is trying to build up his numbers. I mean he is going after 16 yr olds also! He and his wife have been together for 11yrs. He is gonna lose his job, his wife and everything! Possibly jail time. What can I say to him to get him to realize what he is doing? I want to help him change but will he ever be able to stop after cheating for so long??

I know its not my problem but no one has the guts to tell him whats up.
