We became engaged on our second date, three days after I met him.
We were married three months later. He was 18 and I was 15.
That was 49 years ago and yes we are still together.

He didn't ask me. I was told I was getting married after a couple of weeks. I made him wait over a year though - I never wanted to get married but he wouldn't accept a 'no'! Married a few years now - his second marriage. I hadn't been married before but was in a long term relationship for about 8 years (thats long for me). We are older so there wasn't much point in wondering if it was the right thing to do or not...we knew fine well.

We talked about marriage about 2 months after meeting.
We were 16 &19. We got engaged 6 months into dating.
We got married after we had been dating a year. Or engaged 6 months however you'd like to look at it.
We've been happily married for 11 years this Oct!
Can you believe it we're one of the marriages that made it :)

We started talking marriage very soon after we met (both of us wanted to get married). Just over a year after we met, we set the date, got married 4 months later, been married for over a year.

My husband first asked me to marry him after 4 months...then he went to Iraq and while he was there he asked me again to marry him when he came home on leave so we were finally married 6 months after he first asked. We've now been married for a little over a year and a half.

I met him on Jan 3, we started "going steady" on Jan. 21, he
asked me to marry him in April (3 mos later), and we got married in August (4 mos later)--in Dec. I found out I was 1 mo pregnant, and we had our first child 3 weeks before our first anniversary.
We have been married 24 years, and we are very happily married. Brooks and Dunn's new song "proud of this house we built" pretty much describes us--but our story should have
a disclaimer attached: one of those that says "results not typical", because it doesn't work for the majority of people that go that fast. We were both in Church, felt like we'd known each other forever from the first time we met, and prayed about it before we did anything--we are truly soulmates.

First time we met was on a Saturday, we decided to get married on Thursday, neither really asked, we just talked about it, although I did ask her formally later that night (bought the ring that afternoon). We where married 3 months later. That was almost 13 years ago and we are still happily married.

About 4 months. We married 5 months after that, and are about to celebrate 5 years.
