Marriage & Divorce - 5 June 2007

Lately it seems that my husband never has anything nice to say about anyone or anything. He's been stressed but he's doing very little to help himself get through it or find an outlet. I'm at my wits end on how to deal with him and I'm tired of being brought down by his negative attitude. I'm being patient and as understanding as possible but I'm at the pint of wanting to just tell him to get the F*ck over it!! Anyone else have to deal with a partner who started acting this way? How did you deal?

I am only 46 years old. He was 12 years older than I was and had just retired last September. Our plans were to travel in our RV and just enjoy life. Now I am lost about what to do in my life. He was my best friend. I have family and friends, but it just isn't the same.

My husband doesn't shower everyday (before you make any comments about me, I DO shower everyday and keep myself well groomed).

He works as a toolmaker in a shop and is pretty dirty. On the weekends, he doesn't even shower, AT ALL! By Sunday he is greesy and...ewe!

How do I get my husband to shower more often!?

One of my friends is having an affair/fling with a male friend of hers that she has known for about 10 years. The Male friend is married but the two women don't know each other. I don't want my friend to get hurt by this guy, I almost would like for the guy to get caught so is it wrong to send/call his wife and just ask her if she ever asked her husband if he is faithful and tell her if she hasn't maybe she should This could be done annonymously so my friend wouldn't know I was envolved.

My fiance ( I pushed & got the ring- after many fights) and I have been living together for a few years now. We have a son together whom we both love. We have had many arguments over getting married. He keeps saying he wants to get married to me eventually, but always seem to have excuses. I don't want 2 leave him, becuase I do love him and we have a son together. But I also don't want to just live together for the rest of our lives- which I think he would be perfectly comfortable with.I can't just move out either becuase my family is very far away and being a single parent would be ough. I also don't want 2 be in a dead end relationship. I have asked him if he wants to break up, he says no. We have been engaged now for a year and a half. I'm sick of waiting for him to come around. Should I give up on him? I don't want our son to not have a father around.I also can't handle his lack of commitment. He says were already committed! My fiance' told me this morning that he has tried cocaine a totel of 10 times over the past 4 months. We live together with our ONE month old daughter and my daughter from my former marriage. We have been together for 3 years. I feel angry instead of willing to help I don't think I know him anymore. I want to leave, but the inconviences of moving 50 miles away(my parents house) discourages me. I watch way too many drug rehab shows to know that people on drugs put their families through way too much drama. I'm scared.

Ok. I have almost had it up to my neck with this guy. My wife and I have been married about 3 years now. This guy is one of her best friends. I have told her that i don't like him or the fact that he is a guy. It 's not because I'm homophobic, I don't like him on a personal level. He just isn't a great person. I have told my wife but she just brushes it off and tries to get us to be friends. I told her that I don't want to do things that involve him, but she always invites him to everything. The worst thing about it is that my wife says that he isn't gay. He is pretty flamboyant though. I don't know what to do. She is always going out with him to god knows where and they talk on the phone constantly. The guy even moved to our town which was 4 hours away from him. Everywhere we go his is there. Church, movies, etc I'm not trying to control her, but I have ditched a couple of good friends that she didn't like. Am I just being insecure? Or controlling? Or selfish? That's what she said.

my boyfriend went through a nasty devorce.and she got sol custody. she has been with 3 men since april.since the devorce. during the divorce she had told the courts that she was marrying one guy so she would look stable. as soon as the devorce was finnished she broke it off and married a guy from out of state she barely new.besides that she has a nother man whom which is her suger daddy. She refuses to let us know who is living with her evan though by court order she has to. we heard through the grapevine that she wants to move out of state and she is trying to find a way to move. the court order states that she cannot move for any reasons out of state.she is starting to not let dave see him and trying to make the emails look like it is his fault he cant see him. she threatens him about seeing his son which is the court order also that they cannot threaton the other parent about seeing calvin. She has pulled him out of preschool which is part of the child support .what can we do?

I am a college student working part time during school and full time during the summer. My boyfriend makes 4 times the amount that I do and he pays for the majority of the rent, but I give money as well for rent. Plus I do most of the household work and buy groceries as well. The gist of the problem is that my friend (who didn't have much experience with women) ended up engaged to a women within weeks of knowing her. Everyone freaked but they eneded up just living together (inseperable) for about 2 years. Now they are finally getting married soon. I have been asked to be the best man but then again I am the only friend that is left. Thanks to this women he has basically broken contact with all his old freinds. She has always been nice to me (but I think she approves-frankly a bit "too" nice if you know what I mean) but overall she is kind of a mean person. She treats everyone else kind of horrible. This includes my freind. Should I step down from my post and let him know that in good conscience I cannot suport this decission? I'm ok with standing by him and letting him screw up his own life (cause I will be there to pick up the pieces) but now they are talking kids. That's like child abuse. I think he can eventually do much better.

i dont want to leave my boyfriend he has helped me through so much the past few months. we need each other.hes my bestfriend, i have never thourght about being with anyone else and i dont entend to be with someone else. i do get less attention than i did before which he says its just where we are in the comfort zone. when i do get all the attention i need (not sexually) im fine, and these thourghts automatically go away.

i am in love with a girl. but the problem is she is 2 inch taller than me my height is 5.5 her is 5.7, whenever i stand with her , i am nervous i feel what others will think about this, i am soo much concious about others. but she doesn;t care about this difference. i can feel that she loves me sincerly. i don't want to leave her also. but when i stand along with her i feel weak. honestly i want to avoid this mentality and i want to marry her. and i afraid whether bcoz of this complex cani give a happy life to her? plewase give me ur suggestions. but she never say my height is a problem for her. and she used to advice me also don't think about what others says. but still sometimes this complex comes to me and bcoz of this i am always confused.

I have been married for two months already and i have no job and my bills are starting to collect. My wife is getting annoyed that my bills are not getting paid and also that i mite ruin our honeymoon to go to hawaii. I have been trying to find a job but i have been looking around and no one is calling back and she is yelling at me everyday saying did i pay this or that and since we live with my parents i have to ask my mom for money bc my wife is now in debt bc of me. I am 33 and never had a proposal, i have had a couple of long term relationships, the guy im with now is great, 1st guy ive lived with and so on, we are together 2 years and i was hoping between 2 to 3 year stage, he'll pop the question, im not in a hurry to wed, not the type to be planning or anything, but i would love to get to the next level, we do see each other as very long term, so when is a good time, 3yrs, 4 yrs, 5 yrs???
I wouldnt propose to him, i am quite old fashioned that way.

Eight years ago I cheated on my husband, he knew about, I left him. I came back and we had a baby. I ended every thing with the guy, but he just kept coming back insisting he loved and he would take care of me. He wrote me so many letters and I kept them. I ended all contact 5 years ago, but I kept the letters....My husband found them about three years ago, I don't think he was prepared for their content. This man wrote explicit details of our time together and wrote of how he missed me and loved me, it's over, its been over. My husband has now started an affair with a woman at his office and says I'm to blame. If I would have been faithful and met his needs he wouldn't of gone to someone else. My husband and I were separated for 1 month and I ended up sleeping with a mutual friend of ours a few days before getting back together with my husband. (I had sex 4 days between the 2 of them) Its now been a month and I just found out I am pregnant. I have a friend who is married but she has asked her husband for a divorce( but he refused and wants to work it out), he is not making her happy as far as trust and his continuing ways to not help financially. Well on top of this at work she has a guy who has been watching her and I know he is interested in her, he obviously knows she is married so I am thinking this is why he hasn't made his move. What do I tell her to do? I know that she could be happy ending this horrible marriage, and it already seems like there is someone else waiting, so what do I tell her? My husband yelled at me for no reason in front of others, and of course I didnt like it. So I sent him to sleep on the couch since saturday night. how long should I keep him there for him to learn his lesson ?

So, my man doesn't want to have sex very often and I just don't get it. I thought women were the ones who were supposed to say "Not tonight"? But it is like one to two weeks at a time?
