I think you should stay where you are. If you always thought you are happy where you are, then don't change a thing! I think it's normal for you to feel the way you do about Florida. Of course, because you were on vacation ;)

We all feel that way, wherever we go to. There are some things about Florida (how the weather is like Hawaii), the big city, beaches, etc. But no matter what, it will never be nothing like your home. You will miss home if you move. Florida will always be there, just let it be a good vacation spot for you. You should just make it a pact to visit. It's a plus now that you got someone there you know. But your better off living where you are now (which is your HOME).

I have to agree. I've had several vacations to florida and always end up wanting to stay a bit longer. But that's what it's been... a vacation. Living in florida you would have to deal with the harsh weather and the flock of tourists all the time. So, to answer your question, I don't think life down south is really better... but it does make for a great vacation.

I have always believed that it's not WHERE one lives...But rather HOW one lives. Cuz one will bring all their "baggage" wherever one goes. Consider what made you change your mind. If moving is not an option, then why let it bother you. Personally I would not want to live down south. I do believe the change of seasons is a good thing. I dont much like bugs, and winter freeze seems to take care of such 'critters'. ;)

I live in Florida and have my whole entire life and no actually it isnt that much better it gets up 100 degrees and higher in the summer, theres hurricanes and there is a lot of mosquitos in the summer too and when the power goes out because a hurricane hit and the mosquitos are all you hear buzzing in your ear you will know that no it isnt that much better.

Hurricanes, insane humidity in the summer time, tons more bugs, scorpions, too many tourists. Life isn't better down there. Do something to make your life a little more exciting. Take up rock climbing or something that will get your adrenaline flowing.

Life is life wherever you are - there are still car payments & groceries and other ordinary things. When you were visiting your friend you were on a break from your "real" life, and you were in the company of a friend - so of course it seemed better.

Life is what you make it, wherever you are.

Life is what you make it, where you make it.
