Marriage & Divorce - 29 October 2006

He is a Vietnam Vet special forces. He does not trust me and beleives I am having affairs. the other night he kept a knife by the bed and patrolled the apartment,was convinced he was bneing trapped and watched and that I had guys in the apt that were going to kill him.

I don't know how to respond to his accusations, he says he knows what's gouiing on, that i ahve gone to the other side

I want to help him, I know I ahve not been there for him and initially I told him he was wrong --he keeps telling me the only way to get beyond this is for me to tell the truth--i will take a lie detector and he said this would helkp

i want him to be ok and know I care

My friend and I are both going through a divorce (I am actually legally seperated without hope of reconciliation). We have been a huge source of help for each other. So far our only real source of contact has been the phone even though we live only 5 minutes from each other. I have invited her to coffee, walks dinner etc... So far she has denied because she is not ready for that. We talk for hours on the phone but I really want to spend actual time with her. Is this too much to ask? I admit that I am attracted to her and I believe she is attracted to me so what keeps us from spending some time together?

Married to a verbal and emotionally abusive man for 12 years. We are both 33 and have 2 small children. I had been preparing to leave him but now when I asked for the last time because of me feeling guilty if he would go to counseling with me, he agreed. We have only gone twice and she has been my counselor for 5 months now and has helped me to get stronger even though she never said to leave him. I am wondering do you think that he can change or not? My main problem is, I am at the point now that I still care for him but he has done so much damage to me that I know that I'll always feel that he'll be abusive or that he's just fooling me because it's cheaper to keep her. I was so looking forward to being free from the abuse and him even though I was scared. He has been really nice these past few weeks(longer than he has ever been in many years at a time). I'm just not really buying it. I think that I'll fall into this and be vulnerable and he'll **** up my trust and self esteem again.

We used to have sex at least twice a week. But now, 2 months may pass without any sexual contact between us. Sometimes, when I start, he would not mind and will continue with me. But, what I'm surprised about is that he does not show any interest unless I begin. I'm really worried about this and very bad ideas come to my mind. We have 4 children, 2 boys and 2 girls. 19, 16, 12 and 10 years old. As a family, we are really happy and satisfied. I work 8 hours a day and my husband the same, plus his private job which takes about 3 - 4 hours extra after his normal job. (He comes back home at about 3 p.m. , take a nap and then to go out again till about 7 p.m.).

I know that he loves me, he puts up with my crap...well my families crap, but he never shows me... he has never taken me out on a date...we have been together for 7 yrs. I always have to set up the dates... we have 4 kids all together, we are both very tired by the end of the day, but ... he doesnt even like to give me a peck on the lips... in fear that some one is lookin.. not just our kids but our friends, too. I have been married for 16 years with 2 minor kids. We met and married in a different culture when we are both very young, it was almost like parent-arranged.

My husband and I are both good people, but with different interests and personalities. He rarely talk anything happens at work, and he shows no genue interests about anything happens in my life. Me and my wife separated and she made it clear that she doesn't want to get back with me as a married couple & yet wants to remain friends. She's with someone else and claims that she loves him. They've had a couple of arguments over the 4 weeks and I think whenever they do, she comes and gets closer to me and makes plans with me for a moment. Like on the weekend, we both went to church and afterwards she decided to go with me and my son for a bbq. Then she said, she'd want me to be her Personal Trainer and work a program with her at a 1x a weekly basis. Bcoz, she's the reason I moved out of state, she said, I could use her as an emergency contact in case of emergencies. Also she offered to watch my amatuer boxing fight and is willing to travel with me. Long story but I'll try to shorten it. My wife had an affair with a mutual friend of ours. I had a bad feeling about a year ago about them, but I was told not to worry and that nothing was going on. His girlfriend of 8 years was even concerned about them. She too was told there was nothing to worry about. My wife said I could trust her and the other guy said he had no intention of "stealing her away". Anyway after 3 incidents of being lied too and betrayed by the both of them, and trying counseling (She was still in contact with him halfway through that). I'm trying to deal with her seeing him while I"m still living at home (due to many reasons). I really don't want this guy anywhere near me, ever. I'm mostly pissed off for trusting them, now I've lost my wife, my home and actually being with my kids. By being deceptive, he gets eveything I had. I went from being the happiest in my life to the worst feeling ever. Oh, he says he's really sorry. Will this get better with time?

my husband calls our daughter and I and never calls back, but to try and contact him they say you have to go thur her to get a hold of him, his cell phone is not working he does not call and all this started over was from a co- worker and their daughter spreading rumors of lies.That split us apart to begin with saying i was with another guy and never was.it was a week yesterday since we have heard from him.And a month the 28 th since we seen him personally.I hear he tells his aunt that he still loves me and cares about me but he had his wedding band off,we are still married if he wears a ring or not.I keep waiting and he does not call or nothing has never changed his address and just left his stuff behind just as he planned to come home in the beginng before all this happened at the carnival.Stressed in michigan

Living w/ bf. He is 8 years older. He has an 11 year old daughter. She stays with us twice a month. I have to share my closet and bathroom w/ her (even though we have 2 + 2). I share rent w/ him. I pay less, but only by $250. He makes double what I do a year.

Child goes to school in father's city. Do we meet halfway or do I do all the driving? We split all her expenses; no one pays child support. I have her one week. Father has her one week. I'm driving about 500 miles per week dropping her off and picking her up. They refuse to meet halfway at all!! If we went to court would they be required to meet halfway? Would judge side with father on this?
