Okay, we all know people of both genders who are our age can be tired, stressed, have variations in their level of sexual desire. But is it normal for a man to say his marriage is great but almost never want to have sex, like once every couple of months, and when the wife initiates or asks about increasing the frequency, he takes the stand that sex just isn't important to him any more? Am I mistaken to think many men like, want, and try to have sex well past 40? Don't guys these ages, er, have occasional glitches, but can usually perform, and if not, they would try again soon, and/or get help? Don't a lot of guys in their 40s, 50s, sixties still want sex "often", say, usu. a couple times a week or more? My guy basically just quit our sex life altogether. He is 51, I am 46. No sex for almost two years. :-(

My husband is in charge of my home. He's a minor hoarder and loves to bring anything home that's free. He's not physically abusive but I feel emotionally abused when he doesn't care what I want. He feels bad and gets affectionate but nothing changes. I can't fight about it anymore. I just want to live alone, but how can I do that when I'm all he has? What's wrong with me when I let his life be more important than mine? That's how it's always been. We've been together almost 30 years, and I'm so torn. What can I do?

after having a private arrangement for paying maintenance for 3 years,my expartner has got the csa involved, and she has stopped me from seeing the children, and the amount they are asking for each month would put me into debt, after already paying debts from when i was still with the ex,is there anything i can do as it is putting severe pressure on my new relationship?and putting me under more stress.

I have dated the same guy for the last 5 years. Today he came to my house and along with my sister in law, who was visiting at the same time, read my newspaper and left it all over the living room floor. I hadnt even seen it yet.
He gets his own newspaper at his own home, but his 28 yr old son who still lives at home reads it upstairs in his room and so my boyfriend has to come to my house to see my newspaper and disrupt my routine.
He asked me if I wanted to go out to eat later, and then proceeded to go into my bedroom for a 1/2 hour nap. That was 2 or 3 hours ago. He slept while I cleaned my own storm windows and put them back up. I just got thru assembling the paper he left spread all over the place.
I think when you are reading your girlfriends newspaper, sleeping in her bed, drinking her iced tea and making yourself at home, its time for a marriage proposal.
What to do? He will not throw his grown kids out and he stays here to get away from them.

my parents have been getting divorced for over a year now, and they just can't seem to work things out. it is very distressing when my mom (who walked out on my dad) comes around he house because it is still technically hers. i am in colleg now, and i worry for the mental health of my two younger siblins, ages 16 and 14. i do not want them to grow up in a confusing and rocky marital environment. i just want them to settle the divorce and be done with it. how do i convey that to them? and also how do i try to not worry about it when i am away at school?

I have been married for 3 yrs and have a 2 yr old. We fight constantly and last year I had an affair. He has proof of my affair through emails. He was on probation for felony DWI's and has now paid that off with our tax return so he can drink again. He is a non-compliant diabetic and has periods of highs and lows where he is confused and disoriented (not a situation for a 2 yr old to have to deal with). I don't leave her alone with him unless I absolutely have to and fear that if I do go through with custody that he will be granted time with her and he will have an episode when she is alone with him. He is drinking often now and I have suspisions that he is having an affair, but no proof. I want to move to Florida where my family is but am not sure that i can do that without the possibility of loosing my child. She is all I have and I want her to be safe, and safe is with me. What would happen if we just left and moved to Florida? Could they take her away from me? We live in NY.

I had a breakdown 3 days after my father died. ex says I was just making excuses; I was in 3 hospitals. I was served divorce papers while in the psych unit. He knew I had a illness before we dated, married. That is why this is so very painful. I stood by him when he was ill.
It has been heartbreaking for me to get over. He did not stand beside me, just shut me out, now will not talk to me. I has been 10 months since the divorce was final. But, 20 months since this started.

The main issue now is that he has custody of my son. I have no visitation, due to not being able to afford a lawyer or be present in court. The judge gave him everything.

The bad side is I still love him.
Although, now I see he is liar, thief, user, mean, cruel idiot.
I have not been in counseling yet. I have hard days.
I know I need a lawyer too.

How do I get over him?
How do I regain my independence?
How do I get to see my son without dealing with ex?
Any suggestion

1) Why do women say that men are bad at communicating in relationships, yet they are the ones who don't communicate. Example- Guys hear this alot from the ladies:"I shouldn't have to tell you. If you really loved me, you would already know" (sound familiar?)

xgf raised in divorce home (ie parents took 10 long years to go thru divorce. xgf knows all the games, especially 'you cheated' chant. Won't allow my son any visitation--she says he can visit, but they never happen. Tells me I have no rights a grandparent, claims I was rude (I disagreed with her version), so we haven't seen gndson in 2 years.
My son is poor and hasn't gone thru family court yet. Child support takes much of his income.

I smelled weed off his breath and when i asked him if he smoked weed (which i am very against and he knows this) he said no. I told him i'm going to ask him again, and i want the truth this time, he still said no it was just a cigarette. He kept saying no, i kept telling him stop lying and i turned off the t.v and said do you promise. He said YES! Then i said do you promise on my life, and he said No, sorry i cant do that. Then he was like, oh it was just a little bit blah blah blah. But how can i ever trust him again for lying blatantly in my face???

Apparently, my girlfriend for almost a year now, still cannot fully trust me and still thinks I'm going to cheat on her eventually, her words! My question is, is it wrong for her to come out and say that its either Myspace or Her? And if so, what should I do about this whole situation?
