It depends on the situation, but usually its best to forgive and forget otherwise you become so bitter that it destroys the rest of your life.

Yes, and No...
You must decide very soon after the event as to whether you are going to forgive & forget or not...
If you are going to forgive & forget then you need to do it and mean it and never bring it up again....It is done , gone, over, forgotten...
If you are not going to forgive & forget then do what you have to do to get even / get revenge / get a divorce or whatever and again, put it behind you....You have not forgiven but you are rid of the problem.

You can forgive, but you seldom forget. The more you remind yourself to forget, the more you remember. That's just the way things go. You should always forgive, because not to means that you are focosing negative energy on something that isn't worth it, and you could be doing something positive with that energy.

It is an old saying that is so very true. People always forgive or they become bitter and end up with a lifetime of grudges, but you never forget. If it is something that happens to you and its personal ie. cheating spouse you must forgive to continue relationship. It is in your head forever but once you forgive you cannot use it as a tool with an argument arises. You can't ever throw it back in their face.

I forgive and forget because I believe that life is too short to hold a grudge against anyone. It may be hard at first but in time, you can learn to forgive anyone for just about anything. Its much harder to hold a grudge on someone and be angry all your life than to forgive and move on. And if you do, may be someday that person will return the favor.

I always forgive and never forget. It can end in me being taken advantage of, but most things just don't seem important enough to get upset over. Why waste hours, days or weeks feeling sorry for myself when I could just move on with my life?

I've forgiving for 27yrs but, during that entire time I was being beaten by 2 different men.No! I can't forget .The pain I feel every day from the broken bones I've had won't let me forget.I can now say I have been dumb in just about all of my forgiveness.I thought I forgave for love.I now realize it was because they had total control over me.So I now regret most of my forgiveness. So never be forced in forgiving.

Yes you should forgive and forget . Because if you don't then all it does is make you bitter and angry.
The other person moves on well your are still fuming years down the track. They have forgotten all about it and don't understand why you are mad with them .
We should enjoy what time we have here on this earth
Remember Jesus loves you
