Absolutely it would, you have to understand that your husband misses you, events like b-days that he is not home for he has tried to put out of his mind because when thinking about them he becomes sad. If he is staying in contact with you and you feel good about the relationship, don't let him missing your day upset you and when he does remember, not only will he feel bad he also won't be there to show you how sorry he is, which makes things worse for him. So let it slide.

Unfortunately I think some men are total airheads.LOL and they say that about us gals.But,how many of us forget to make him that special birthday dinner?I've been with my man for 8yrs.and he still forgets the date I was born on.He always gets it close though and gets me a gift.Now I've been divorced from my ex husband for nine years and he still remembers my B-day.But,we were married for 20yrs.So I'd say maybe your husband is one of those airhead.No Offense.Got busy with work and forgot.Just think of it that away and you'll be much happier.Tell him you don't expect a repeat next year.Believe me hes not the first nor the last man to forget his wife's Birthday.Happy belated birthday and many more.Just remember he may forget others from time to time.

Well it was probably just an oops. But if you haven't made him feel guilty yet wait. If he still doesn't know your birthday has passed, then just plan a girls night out with some friends to a nice place, and when he asks where your going just say the girls wanted to celebrate your b-day with just you girls. Don't act upset, and don't invite him. When he realizes that he has forgotten you birthday, he most likely will feel guilty and try to make up for it. When he makes up for it say 'And I thought you had forgotten.' If he still remains clueless, then calmly mention how you feel, don't bottle your emotions. Next year plan ahead and mark your calendars so that he couldn't forget again.

Well of course he can, he is male and they let things slip by all the time. They are not as concerned about those kind of things as we are. Just remind him and see what he says. If he is like some men, he will apologize and make it up in a big way. It is just a male thing, don't take it wrong. Good luck!!

Men are notorious for forgetting birthdays! It probably doesn't mean anything other than he just forgot what day it was.

yes it is possible..coz i am a husband who forgot my wife's birthday, once, and here's what i have to say about that;
working, especially abroad, sometimes make you really IN to the working mood, you got real busy to the extent that i lost track of what day is today (and this really happens a lot).
sure i know her birthdate and may be a month ahead i say to myself "next month is her birthday, i will call her and buy her a gift, ...." but when the days goes by, sometimes i forget what date is today.
the bottom line is; it happens , and i love my wife a lot, and i think that your husband loves you too and he is sincere in what he is telling you.

sorry but if you have been married 3 years there is no excuse for missing your birthday, busy at work or not....however, is it possible that he sent you something and it just hasn't arrived yet? Keep this in mind as a possibility, he could be saying nothing in order to surprise you.

Men are not programmed for remembering dates. You can always forgive them as it doesn't mean that they don't love, it's just that they were really focussing on work. Once reminded, they do respond back with gifts and party.

Nothing on it's own. That he got busy at work. Haven't there been days when you don't know the exact date? He misses you but, dates are hard to remember.
