We used to have sex at least twice a week. But now, 2 months may pass without any sexual contact between us. Sometimes, when I start, he would not mind and will continue with me. But, what I'm surprised about is that he does not show any interest unless I begin. I'm really worried about this and very bad ideas come to my mind. We have 4 children, 2 boys and 2 girls. 19, 16, 12 and 10 years old. As a family, we are really happy and satisfied. I work 8 hours a day and my husband the same, plus his private job which takes about 3 - 4 hours extra after his normal job. (He comes back home at about 3 p.m. , take a nap and then to go out again till about 7 p.m.).

Normal?, of course it is. However, men are not all the same. Example I just turned 55 today and have a very strong sexual drive. Why don't you talk to him about it in the right atmosphere. Good luck.

Low sex drive in any point of life can be due to many reasons. Being tired, being bored, stress, medication etc. can be part of the reasons. It doesn't matter who initiates the sex because in the end its about having a good time with your loved one...not who started it...so that shouldn't be important to you. However, you might want to vary the routine to spice things up a little...a new piece of lingerie, some new positions, a little fantasy play, harmless sex toys, light bondage (tying up one hand with a scarf) can make him feel that you are really putting in the effort to please him...thus you will make him want to please you too, hopefully. Do communicate these feelings with him, you've shared so much together...you should be able to share this too. Tell him that making love means a lot to you and that you enjoy it very much with him, so why not take part more. Plus a man always gets pleased when his wife shows that she wants more sex so that will flatter him too.

i think think this is normal or no big deal. until it comes to your sexual happiness and then you have to consider how much this is bothering you. after that many yrs. together , why would it be a problem talking to him? about the situation an where you guys stand on this issue. i would say , just decuss the situation over with him. good luck.
