Child goes to school in father's city. Do we meet halfway or do I do all the driving? We split all her expenses; no one pays child support. I have her one week. Father has her one week. I'm driving about 500 miles per week dropping her off and picking her up. They refuse to meet halfway at all!! If we went to court would they be required to meet halfway? Would judge side with father on this?

You should alternate.

If I’m understanding your question correctly, on the weeks that you have the child you want Dad to provide 1/ 2 of the transportation to and from school, correct? Check with an attorney, but I don’t think a judge will agree to that, because on your weeks, it’s your responsibility to get the child to and from school. This is one reason why one-week-here-and-one-week-there doesn’t work when you live in different cities. Didn’t you guys think about this ahead of time?

Most courts find it fair to have parents meet at a halfway point, unless otherwise stipulated or agreed upon in writing.
However, you should modify the original court order (child visitation) requesting to meet at: (specify a location- most people meet at a police station to avoid any drama).

It is highly likely that your request will be granted!

i don't know the reason why you are divoriced or whatever but you all just have to put away the anger and just do whatever it takes for your child.
