He wants to charge her $300 to perform the wedding and have a couple sessions of premartial counseling....the counseling is mandatory. Doesn't that seem high? I mean he gets a decent salary from the church already because it is a larger sized church. What do you all think? Is this normal?

I have two groups of friends, and my husband and I want to have a party at our place but haven't announced it to anyone yet. Already there's some discussion of getting together at someone elses house, but it will be a small affair and we won't get to see everyone (I know this is unrealistic anyway). But the idea is just being thrown around. How do I not hurt people's feelings but still express my thoughts?

My fiance has two sisters; one who is mentally slow (sis A) & another who is now a good friend of mine (they are step bro/sis) (sis B). I orginally wasn't going to have either as bridesmaids, but I LOVE sis B and want her as a bridesmaid. His family is not helping us out financially. Since sis A is slow, I have shared with my fiance how much of a responsibility it will be to have her as a bridesmaid to me and everyone else in the party- and that is not fair to anyone. He understands, but I still want sis B as a bridesmaid. Is it horrible if I ask sis B and not sis A? It is not a secret that sis A is slow and won't be able to handle bridesmaid duties. Additionally I was planning on using her as a special attendant, possibly (trying) to do a reading or something. Also, I must state that the FMIL is a b****, has made rude comments to me, and has tried to force this upon my fiance and me. WHAT DO I DO?

I have been friends with this girl for a long time but just recently we have gotten closer. As we got closer when she would hear something a guy would say about me not wanting to be friends with her anymore, she would text and call a lot and flip out. She has done this a few times and the last time was supposed to be the last straw. However, she caught me off guard and came to my job on her birthday and said all she wants is her best friend back. I felt bad and really didn't know what to do so I forgave her. I really can't take the drama anymore because it stresses me out way too much and I left that drama when I left high school. I don't know what I should do. Was forgiving her the right thing?

Long story please read ob :D -

I started to notice this girl in school she's two years younger than me and I think looks beautifull and she has a very good persnality. I started to notice this girl around 2 years ago and have just been like saying "Hi" when we pass each other in the corridoors and in class rooms. This year I have started to fancy her. We are both in wind band I play trombone and she plays Tuba. We were at the first concert that I have been to and we were playing a piece and then stopped for a rest and somone else talked or played a piece in between and when I changed my music or somthing I could just not stop looking at her and then this boy who sits in between us who is going out with her sister said to the girl I fancy "You know he likes you? Do you like him?" She responded with "Yeah a little." He told me this when I was talking to him just around school. From then I have started to notice her more and do you think she likes me I like her! Should I ask her out? X

The only reasons I can think are:
1.They want to have kids (not everyone does)
2.Tax/money purposes like inheritance and insurance, etc.
Other than those 2 reasons, I don't get why people who love each other ever need to get married. Why can't they just live together and take care of one another and save the $20-200,000 they would otherwise spend on a wedding (plus the ring and Honeymoon).
This question was asked of me by a close female friend who IS married and #1 and #2 were the only things I could imagine.

I am suppose to be getting married to my fiance in february. We already have 2 sons together and have been together 8 yrs. I am having concerns b/c we have had a lot of issues with our realtionship-it seems to be good now but i am worried I may regret taking this step and it will be to late but at the same time i love him more then life and i know he feels the same, we get along great and we are best friends and I dont want to hurt him by telling him im not ready b/c he is very much into this and committing to me. Shoudl I just trust him and give him the benefit of a doubt and take this chance? I mean if it came down to it-would it be such a big deal to divorce him?? I want to do whats right and i fugre we have been together this long, haev two sons-why should we still be calling eachother girlfriend and boyfriend-its tacky to me. I feel liek a highschooler when i tell people about my "boyfriend."

I have absolutely no clue what to buy my hubby for Chistmas. He always says "buy me clothes", but I am looking at clothes in the closet from last Christmas that still have tags on them. It's not that he doesn't like what I buy, but he has so many. I am the same way though, if we want something we buy it so when Christmas comes it's hard for both of us to shop for one another. Please give me some serious suggestions as to possible gifts for my man. He deserves the world and if I could, I would give it to him.

She is older than me and we have the same in laws. She is very artistic in cooking, sewing, painting, etc. And I'm not. I am more artistic in things I like to keep private like writing and poetry. Everyone from my parents to my in laws always compare me to her and ask me why I don't know how to do the things she does, and they always tell me to learn the things she knows. I'm not interested in the stuff she likes, I'm a different person and have different interests. It gets so annoying... why don't they understand that I'm an individual?

If you are an American Caucasian woman with a curiosity about African-American men, would you talk about said curiosity with as much detail as possible. Thanks in advance to all who answer.

He said it is part of having a close relationship with her and there is nothing wrong with it. I feel she is too old. He was in there for over an hour last night, I think this is strange. My parents have been married for 26 yrs now...for more than 3/4 of their marriage my father has cheated on her. She took to much bull**** from him. We thought he had changed his ways for a couple of years but he is doing it again. As her daughter I want the best for her.I think their marriage is toxic. I personally believe they r better off divorce..now they r on the verge of a divorce n i am stuck in the middle. I love my dad but as a man he isn't good enough for her. Its really taken a toll in my lfe. I am behind my mom 100% but i don't want my dad to think i favor my mom more than him. I feel pity, anger, and love for him at the same time. I am on a verge of an anxiety attack. I dont know what to do????

Seriously I can't stand being single, I feel like I am the only one around this age who has not dated or been in a relationship with the opposite sex. I swear that I am not gay, it's just that I am afraid to ask a girl out on a date because I am afraid she will say no, plus I have a hard time meeting girls because I go to community college and I don't see the same people everyday since people have different schedules and go in and out at different times, it's way different from high school. Any tips or advice on where are the best places to meet girls besides in community college?, man, who else is 20 and older and has never had a boyfriend/girlfriend or never dated?, it would make me feel so much better since I can have people to relate to?, also when I do I know it's the right time to ask a girl out?, because I don't wanna ask too soon, also how do I approach a girl without appearing desperate or like a stalker?, because I get afraid that I might give that impression.
