Its EQ without doubt. EQ is the underlying intelligence that will enhance their social skills dramatically.
EQ stands for Emotional Quotient, where as IQ stands for Intellectual Quotient.
If you have hi IQ you will be more likely to be good at doing regular school work. But it is said that if you have High EQ your more likely to be successful in life overall. Because people with higher EQ are more likeable and more convincing.
What is EQ made out of?
Intrapersonal intelligence- knowing your own emotions
Inerpersonal intelligence- knowing other peoples intelligence.
EQ is somthing that can be learned and IQ is somthing people are born with, which is affected by nutition and genetics and enviroment.
In other words a person with high EQ can manipulate people because they know what you want and like. So they can bait you. Or hide their shortcomings.
Somepeople with high EQ can have high Intrapersonal Intelliegence and low Interpersonal Intelligence and vis versa.
a person with high intrapersonal intelligence knowsh what they want, and ussally have more will power.
a person with high interpersonal intelligence are likely more convincing and manipulative.

That depends. Some of them just get laid because they are in the right places at the right times with the right horny women (or men, if you are speaking about women players).
I don't think you have to have especially high intelligence to be a successful player. However, I can't see any man with below average intelligence playing ladies with much success.

to be a successful player you have to have all of these. i think that its wrong for someone to "play" another person, but the people that do it have to be rather intelligent to pull it off successfully. i wish they would use their intelligence for something a bit more productive than seing how many people they can hook up with.

If you mean sports, Peytan Manning: how he breaks down possible attacks by defense and he analysize the field to find the best spot to throw. Or how Lebron can break down plays to fine opening to dunk or pass.

They have high EQs. They can detect emotion and interest through non-visual cues. They also know how to respond appropriately based on how the other person is acting.

I don't think education has anything to do with it. I think either they have been hurt in the past or they have a really big ego.
It just depends on the individual.
