why would there be a condom in her purse at all if she isn't doing anything wrong? women don't just carry condoms. she's cheating.

The question is what were you doing in her handbag in the first place? Most men I know don't go snooping through their wife handbags, what were you looking for, or hoping to find, well I guess you did, have you ever heard the word private. If you have concerns around the condom, I think you should ask her straight up, when she gets home from work, but if she unaware that you are going through her handbag, be prepare to answer some questions yourself, Mr nosy man. I once or twice went out with a girlfriend or two, to an HIV/Aids awareness gathering, and put a couple of condoms in my bags they stayed there for a bit, I might still have a few in the bottom of my bags....never.....ever..assume, if you don't know you ask!!!

I wouldn't be so quit to assume she's cheating. There could be a number of reasons for the condom. You guys obviously do not use them or it wouldn't be such a big deal for you to find it there, which by the way what were you looking for in her purse to begin with? Are you already suspecting something? There is a bigger issue between you two than the condom itself. I definitely would sit down with her and let her explain the condom, I mean if your in a trusting, loving relationship there should be no reason for the lack of communication. If this turns into a heated argument and she is on the defensive side then your suspicions are probably correct. Wouldn't you want to find out the truth sooner than later?

Ask her. Single condom -- she could have seen a machine in the women's room and been intrigued by the flavors and varieties. She could have gotten it from a friend who suggested it was a good kind to use for added fun (the lube really does help anal sex go easier without embarrassment of using lube, and the ribs really do make some women feel the thrust better). She could have taken someone to the local Planned Parenthood or Health Dept and picked one up for free.
Maybe, just maybe, she has been noticing you aren't around as much and she's worried you are cheating and she is trying to protect herself.
If the relationship is worth saving, asking her shouldn't be a problem.

Big problem. What prompted her to put a condom in her purse? What was she thinking in the moment she did that? What was the cause of action?
People who go to work take lunch breaks. They also take sick days. Do you work in the same place? Is it theoretically impossible for her to sneak away 20 minutes/week out of her 40 hour work week (.8% of the time?)
THere will be many other clues if you look hard enough -- text messages (is she vigilent with her phone while at home? does she leave it on silent mode at home?) Secret email accounts -- does she always clear web history after each use of the home computer? Has she been working out? Does she spend more time in front of the mirror before going to work? You get the picture.....

I wouldn't jump to any conclusions without questioning her first. My question to you would be do you and your wife use condoms when YOU have sex? She could be wanting to surprise you somewhere spontaneous. A girlfriend/co-worker could've slipped it into her handbag for numerous reasons. And then there is your concern... that she's cheating... and yes that is a serious concern and would make sense to jump to that conclusion. But if you love your wife I suggest that you ask her about it first and allow her to explain before you do draw a conclusion.

Last time I went to the family planning clinic to renew my pill they gave me a bag full of condoms as well, and I can 100% assure you I am not cheating, as soon as I got home I took them out and said to my fiance they had given me them, there could be a totally innocent reason, especially if she is with you most of the time.

when your wife returns from work.. while eating dinner, or while you are talking about something else.. or anything ordinary stuff.. just out of a sudden go very close to her.. look right through her eyes and ask about the condom. If you know your wife well, you will know if she is lying or not.

That is extremely suspect. My wife would have some serious explaining to do if I found a condom in her purse.... no matter what excuse she gave I would have a hard time trusting what she said.

Actually what I would do is to stick a pin through the center of the package. Then in a month or two I'd tell her what I did! I know I'm a mean sob!
