Do some of you have to be able to counsel about marriage? I have posted a few questions and found a lot of very good answers through you guys..I was just wondering if there any true counselors amongst you or what type of education and background do you have? I'm trying to figure out if education has anything to do with a more efficient way to handle issues in marriage.....Just curious!

I am 15 but he claims he loves me and wants to marry me and have my children, but his past is soooo hard to forget, he has had sex with 14 year olds, also has fingered a 13 year old in his bed. I think he's changed but knowing his past makes me wonder why he's suddenly changed, also why did he sleep with the younger ones? (Was it because he couldn't get anything older.)?x

Was your family okay with it?

My husband and I were married by a judge 8 years ago, with no wittnesses. We were planning a renewal ceremony for our 10th anniversary, but due to the failing health of his grandparents and father, we decided to move it up. We are having a church wedding and recreating what we would have had, if we could have. I am not having bridal shower/bachelor party, but I do want to have my brother walk me down the aisle as my father is no longer with us. I really want this to feel like a wedding but most of the advice I am getting limits me on what I can/cannot do. Would it really be that horrible to have 3 attendants and traditional dances, cake and all. I do not want to offend anyone, but I really want to include those who will probably not be here in another 2 years. We are limiting guests to 100 friends/family. Is it really wrong if it is something we really, really want? I would be gratedful for any advice.

I signed up for eharmony but haven't paid yet....i want to make sure i know how this works first. If a guy shows up as one of my matches, do I show up as one of his? How can you tell how active they are on the site. I don't want to keep sending messages to people who are no longer active.

Been w/ wife for 15 years, last summer had a falling out she sought company elsewhere (read affair). Recently, we decided to try to work it out - talked to, confronted & forgave each other, why we drifted apart & how we can rebuild, etc, etc. Been a little over a month & seems we are doing well.
Problem is: my wife’s cheating partner is 500mi away & calls to him have stopped, but in her dresser I found some pictures of him left from when the affair was going on.

Should I confront her about this & how? Isn’t this a double standard? I feel I’ve violated her trust by snooping. If you are committed to rebuilding a marriage wouldn’t you cut off all contact & get rid of anything that you shared during your affair like e-mails, letters, pictures, etc.? Am I missing something?

There was no reason for those guys to get what they got. Girls dump guys but you don't see those guys scheming something that bad for revenge, now do you?

But the one thing that pissed me off the very most about this damn movie that I UNFORTUNATELY chose to see was that those guys never got back at them, not even at the very end.

I saw this movie in 1996 when I was 17 years old and to this day, it still makes me madder than hell when I think about it.

Seems as if this year has been hard on alot of people out there. We are a family that ultimately has 5 children (2 full time and 3 part time) We will be spending this christmas together come hell or high water. What things could we do to try to make up for the lack of individual gifts under the tree? we have boys ages 6, 9, 11,13,16. I was thinking gifts like games to play as a family, outside sports stuff (they are all athletic) things we can all do together and then a small somethign personal for all of them? since they are all just really getting to knwo each other on this level it might be a good way to interact. does that sound corny? We are going to possibly have to pay for all the travel expenses but we still want to have something for them to enjoy.

He is very disrespectful and does not listen, I have talks with him often about his behavior. He'll be okay at first but it doesn't last long. His biological mother, who has him ~9 days/month, wants him to come to my house everyday after school because of her new job. She will pick him up at 6pm on those 9 days she's suppose to have him. She told my husband and he agreed without asking me first. My husband works 24 hour shifts, so he will not be around on those days. I love my stepson very much but this is putting a lot of stress on my marriage. I think his mom should take more responsiblity for her own son. What should I do?

A couple days ago, one of my husband's friend from high school stopped by the house . And said she got into an arguement with her Mom in which she kicked her out the house along with her kids . Well my husband didnt even bother to ask me if it was okay with me for them to stay ..Which is the first thing that set me off . Then her kids caime rushing in , tearing things up, and the mom just sat there . I started thinking how stressfull it would be if they stayed longer than a day , so i knew i had to put my foot down and speak out. I was kind and nice , and told her that it probably wouldnt work out ,and she would be better off in a shelter ....I would normally not say this if it was a family member, or even a close friend ..but i hardly know this person. It just doesnt make sense for her to come and ask a married man , when she probably has other girlfriends that can help ...and this is not the first time she comes and ask for help ..So now iam feeling a bit guilty over the situation

I tend to listen to punk music, whether it's Mxpx, Bad Religion, Rise Against, etc. I also tend to like rock music. My fiance on the other hand tends to like country.

We're looking for a good song to use either as our song, or just as something that I and a few of my guests would like, while still being wedding appropriate. I know it's a weird request, but help me out!

Thanks.

And what did you get your man?

I have been divorced for 6 years and my son lived with his mother until recently. He has always stayed wih me regularly and I have always paid child support for him. He has been living here for the past 2 months after falling out with his mother. I contacted the Child Benefit Agency to inform them that he has been living with me and since then his mother has been emotionally blackmailing him to go back to live with her.
She told him that he had to make a decision about where he wants to live which understandably caused him distress. He told her that he will live at hers but wants to see me more. I feel that I shouldn't have to pay her child support and I should receive child benefit if he is staying with me for the majority of the time. Basically his mother wants to remain the resident parent so that she can still claim maintenance and child benefit for him but she doesn't want him full time. What should I do?

I have been married for 10 years. My in-laws were okay before I gave birth to my daughter (9 years ago). The disrespect started when she cussed me out because I went to run an errand when she told me not to go anywhere and that she would handle my errands. When my daughter was about 3 months old she todl me that she was surprised the baby wasn't dead because I took her out too much in the cold weather. My child was a perfectly healthy baby. I have a problem with my child eating pork so I would send her to my in-laws with food so that they wouldn't have to go to any extra trouble. They would feed her pork anyway and tell her not to worry about your mother, we'll handle her. They have told my daughter not to listen to me. She is no longer allowed to be at their house. Most of the contact they have with my daughter is either on the phone or on holidays. Sometimes I feel guilty about that but I feel they have given me no choice. How would any of you handle this?

Women are always sticking me into the platonic friend zone, and I can't seem to escape it. I'm always getting the line, "I don't think of you THAT way." I have directly asked many of them why they feel as such, but they refuse to answer me. If they'd answer me, maybe I could avoid getting stuck in the zone when someone new comes along, but no one is willing to be honest or help me. How do I avoid getting stuck in the friend zone?

i call my stepdad, dad, but i really dont feel right about it. hes not really being a real one to me. its so hard to really love him like i should because hes done good things for me like a real father should. but now hes being downright mean and harsh to me and my siblings. and yeah, weve gotten in trouble, but he shouldnt treat us unfairly. i really want to respect im, but i dont know how.

so my questions are: i dont want to call him dad anymore, but how would he react to it? would that be a mistake and/or disrespectful? any advice?

thanks in advance!!!
