I hated that movie "The First Wives Club", didn't you?

There was no reason for those guys to get what they got. Girls dump guys but you don't see those guys scheming something that bad for revenge, now do you?

But the one thing that pissed me off the very most about this damn movie that I UNFORTUNATELY chose to see was that those guys never got back at them, not even at the very end.



I saw this movie in 1996 when I was 17 years old and to this day, it still makes me madder than hell when I think about it.

I saw it in college actually and I loved it back then. I feel differently now but for spiritual reasons. Not mad...sad.

Actually, I think it is pretty funny.

The whole point is that the husbands dumped the first wives for younger girls after the first wives gave them everything and helped them succeed. This is a stereotypical thing with guys - and I say stereotypical with no intention of insinuating that ALL men do this, because that is not my belief -

And I am sure there are movies and real life situations out there where a girl dumped a guy and the guy schemed for revenge.

It is a movie. Get over it before it consumes your life.

Um yeah and with you feeling this way will effect all your relationships and do u think its healthy? do u want to be alone for the rest of ur life and you can't base ur life on that movie its what u make ur life and relationship, those men so happen to be dogs to these women ok so of course their gonna get back at them wouldn't u if ur a woman?and that's what the movie was based on , not on men getting back at women lol think about it and of course you were very young hope your mother didn't have anything to do with why you might be mad at women hmm plus with the first wives both men and women have to get use to one anothers bad and good its new and when it doesn't go as u thought then divorce happens and yeah we wonder why the second got the better part of the relationship u wanted to begin with so yeah there gonna get mad and maybe even with the guy and these guys did feel guilty because of it and ends up helping the first wives they always do call it crazy but we all have guilt and alittle love and care still for the first wife . this could be longer but we all need therapy one way or another. its a crazy world we live.whoohoo.yeah

You missed the point that the wives had always put their husbands before everything else in their lives then the husbands threw them away for younger models. I've known of wives who put husbands through college educations then 15 years down the road they go through a mid life crisis and get a young trophy wife who benefits from all the sacrifices the first wife made to see that hubby was successful. That was the point of the movie. Husbands who took advantage of the first wife to exchange her for a younger model and how the first wife got even for being dismissed without a thought.

I've found it amusing and cute every time I've watched it...but then I realize it's Hollywood (make believe) and like most movies not to be taken seriously.

Besides, the point of the movie was women getting back at ex-husbands for poor treatment...it wasn't about people getting back at each other ad infinitum (that could go on forever).

There are plenty of movies out there that berate and belittle women, but ya don't often see chicks in a tizzy over it...it's no big deal.

I liked the movie cause it was funny, I like the actress's in it and I've been cheated on by 3 ex hubbys!!!

Well that is what you get for watching a girly flick this movie was made to show how women can achieve enpowerment over the men that have wronged them in there relationships.

If you would have read the box then you would have saved yourself the pain of watching it.

Really though for what the movie was based upon I thought is well made.
