Seems as if this year has been hard on alot of people out there. We are a family that ultimately has 5 children (2 full time and 3 part time) We will be spending this christmas together come hell or high water. What things could we do to try to make up for the lack of individual gifts under the tree? we have boys ages 6, 9, 11,13,16. I was thinking gifts like games to play as a family, outside sports stuff (they are all athletic) things we can all do together and then a small somethign personal for all of them? since they are all just really getting to knwo each other on this level it might be a good way to interact. does that sound corny? We are going to possibly have to pay for all the travel expenses but we still want to have something for them to enjoy.

That is an excellent idea. Years from now, they may or may not remember what you gave them in terms of a Christmas present, but they will remember being together, doing stuff together, and the love that you showed to them.

It doesn't sound corny. It sounds like you love your kids. You rock.

you're merely going to get deeper and deeper in debt in case you do no longer detect a extra advantageous paying activity or a 2nd section time activity and a decrease lease. in case you may not try this, then you somewhat % a room-mate to assist proportion the expenditures through fact there's no way which you would be able to proceed to pay 750 a month in the journey that your earnings is merely 900. it quite is not correct how lots you funds your funds, it quite is impossible to proceed to exist and stay afloat with that lease and earnings. good luck inclusive of your determination!

Make coupons that are good for special outings throughout the year, for backrubs and special treats/desserts, their turn to pick a movie for movie night, etc.

It's inexpensive/free and a great fun gift for the kids to open when you're on a budget!
