Do you view polyamory (many loves) as something entirely different from swinging, the same, or as two separate lifestyles but also something that can both be done by the same people?

it just seems like its such a rapidly growing up and coming kink, i wonder if anyone else has noticed it.

some psychology student might have a better reason for it, but if you ask me, if its happening it has to do with changing times. women by nature have a certain amount of sexual freedom becuse they are the choosers, but have been reigned in with labels, threats, and practicality. In a world where women don't have to marry a man to feed herself or be independent of her parents, and she can prevent pregnancy and vd through safe practices, why shouldn't she do what comes naturally

i, for one, think some women are naturally a little (not alot) promiscuous (studies show this is true, particularly during ovulation, as women have evolved to want one type of man to pass on genes to their children, and another to support them - whether you beleive that mumbo jumbo), and i think a day is coming where not even marriage will stop women from enjoying what mother nature has given them.

I am in Cal and I have been seen this guy for over a year. he lives in my hometown TEXAS where my entire family is at. I have this rising career that demands a lot of me and allows me very little time to visit home.

This guy has my heart and is a very amazing warm hearted person. I keep canceling my trips to see him because my work is in a high demand of me! This breaks him into pieces and he is studying for his Masters and cant move over here… we want to move our Long distance relationship to another level because we both want to see each other more! He is tired of seen me only once every 2 or sometimes 3 months. What should I do? He fulfills my heart and takes my breath away! But my career gives me the stability and security. I come from a low budget family and I am scared of not having enough money to take care of myself! Oh I know I am an emotional mess right now he told me that he want to step away from our relationship because the distance and my work is just him!

Well all my buddies I dumped my boyfriend! You guys were right I totally confessed my cheating and I feel better. But there is more trouble. My new sex buddy wants me to be slutty. He likes it. But we dont really want to be boyfriend and girlfriend its just sex.I dont mind it. But if we're just sex buddies then why should he care if I'm slutty? He always calls me going "What are you doing" or "Hey sexy whats up" I dont care to talk thats the whole point but he ACTS like my boyfriend. We already discussed I dont want a serious relationship. But why does he call and always want to talk or ask me out? I do like him but I dont want anything serious. Am I being a hoe or a bioch? I'm a total hazard to the relationship world! I just dont want to be in a relationship. Plus why do I have to meet his parents? We're not dating. Should I go out with him or like dump the whole sex thing?

I just met a really nice man not very long ago at all, he's a cop. He's much older than I am, but very attractive. He seems to be very caring and understanding. We talk as if we've known each other for months. However, he told me that he's falling in love with me! I've been hearing a lot of creepy stories about cops and the women in their lives. Should I be creeped out???

So I dated a guy for about a month. We then went to different colleges, but he'd call at least 3 times a week, and showed that he was interested in many ways. This continued for about 3 months, and still continues, BUT after 3 months he said he thought he made it clear that he was not ready for commitment at his age, and wanted to just be friends! Plus, he said I was the most genuine person he knew besides his best friend. When we dated, he told me I was beautiful and had a great personality as well. A.K.A. I'd make a perfect girlfriend for him, lol. Well, when I'm in school, he calls A LOT, more than any of my other friends actually. But, when we're on break, the calls stop. He told me he'd call me and a week has passed... Should I call him, as friends do,or just do nothing? Also, should I express how frustrated I am at the whole situation, or would I just look like an idiot?

I'm my husband's third wife we have no children, he is great about spliting time with me and his first son from his first marriage. He meets his son every sunday at his first wife's house to spend the day with him. The son doesn't live with his mother it's just a place to meet (and he's renovation the house so the son doesn't have to work 40hours) If we go to a resturant than he has to make it up to his first son by taking him to a resturant. He never sees or speaks to his second son and second ex wife. But the first ex wife know everything about us where we vacation, work, drive, eat what kind of pets we have and were we spend christmas ect. We've been married for 23 years and I'm tried of his first ex wife being in my day to day life...I guess it will never stop and I should be happy that there all so happy together...

Are women like Britney Spears and such doing young girls/women a disservice with their behavior? Hoardes of young women are growing up afraid to be smart - insisting on being dumb and sexy even at ages like 8. I have seen girls who are just KIDS who's parents let them have sexually suggestive slogans written on their clothes.

All in the name of "girl power". More like "wh o re power", don't you think?

My own 16 year old daughter was suffering from this until my husband and I took more control over her life. She simply couldn't write or say anything without using this idiotic language that young girls especially feel they have to use for boys to like them. And "singles and dating" is filled every day with "HELP I am almost 12 and I have never had a boyfriend!".

If girls spend their energy portraying themselves as stupid pieces of fluff that's how they are going to be treated. And then these idiots grow up and demand respect. Ain't gonna happen.

Agree?

My dad told me the other day that I would never be too old for him to spank me (I am 20 and married now). I told my husband this and he said if I did something really bad I deserved a spanking and wasn't going to try to talk him out of it. I thought once I got married, I would be considered given away by my father and given to my husband so then he would take over as the authority figure in my life.....I want to know what others think. Thanks!

My husband tells me he misplaces his viagra then gets his prescription refilled. I found extra bottles (in all he had three) with a some pills in two and a full script (8 pills) in the third. I didn't say anything but filed it away. When we were going to use it the other day, I asked him where the other bottles were and he blew up and went into a rage, saying there wasn't more bottles. I stood my ground and insisted there was. He finally "remembered" and pulled one bottle with 6 pills out from a hiding place in one of his shoes in his closet! He then said he put them there because we were fighting at the time. My point was this. "why not hide all of it then?" BTW we were not fighting, and besides, I don't take it! Why hide viagra from me. I could possibly imagine a wife hiding her husbands viagra if SHE were mad at him. It really makes no sense. He said he became angry because I asked him the question and that I should trust him. Thanks in advance for your input.

I guess I was just born stupid.

hey everyone-
just so everyone is clear- I look way too far into things and analyze everything because that's just the kind of person I am. I take everything way too literally and want to know why this person said this and why that person said that. So please don't think I'm insane when I ask what this conversation means and how you would think of it.

i think its a good idea if men wanted to cohabitate w/ a woman before marriage it would be a good idea to live in a state where there is no common law marriage like virginia. it would beneficial to both sides. the couple could live together w/out marriage at first & in time if they wanted marriage they could take the next step or if they decide after a period of time they don't want to take the next step, the couple could split w/out a long drawn out divorce. they would in effect be no hard feelings & the people involved could take whatever they brought to the marriage. i'm just looking for some opinions that's all. i don't want to insult anyone & if i did i'm very sorry.
