My husband tells me he misplaces his viagra then gets his prescription refilled. I found extra bottles (in all he had three) with a some pills in two and a full script (8 pills) in the third. I didn't say anything but filed it away. When we were going to use it the other day, I asked him where the other bottles were and he blew up and went into a rage, saying there wasn't more bottles. I stood my ground and insisted there was. He finally "remembered" and pulled one bottle with 6 pills out from a hiding place in one of his shoes in his closet! He then said he put them there because we were fighting at the time. My point was this. "why not hide all of it then?" BTW we were not fighting, and besides, I don't take it! Why hide viagra from me. I could possibly imagine a wife hiding her husbands viagra if SHE were mad at him. It really makes no sense. He said he became angry because I asked him the question and that I should trust him. Thanks in advance for your input.

* Just a side note: My husband does not keep these pills in our bathroom medicine chest. He keeps them either stuck away in his home office desk or in a filing cabinet. The office is on the second floor of our home and no one, not even family goes in there. Thanks DJ for trying to give him the benefit. I'm trying too but I just can't seem to make any logical sense of this.

DEFINITELY be concerned. And start doing some checking up on him. Call logs, emails, make sure he is where he says he is, things of that nature.
Usually people get defensive when they have something to hide. Hate to say it but I'm willing to beat $10.00 to your 1 dime he's CHEATING!!!!
Like my marriage counselor told me "People Who Have Nothing To Hide! Hides NOTHING!
Be careful, Good Luck & God Bless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In the same line of question - why would a grown man hide his brand new basketball shoes from his wife and place them under a pile of clothes in his cabinet? Infidelity is not only the issue here - its vanity, its ego, its selfishness and all the other crap men have with regards to "their" property. Trust? Ask him how can you trust him when he hides something as simple as a viagra pill bottle?

Listen, if he cannot even sit down and have an honest conversation with you, then he is a coward. He was not afraid or ashamed to go pck up a pres. at the pharmacy. Lets change this around, if you hid something to this nature, the first thing he would think is cheating! My husband hid telling me he had a script filled and intentionally used a different pharmacy then when I need to pick up his other scripts for him. I cried for days...wondering why...I DONT WONDER ANYMORE...I CANNOT TRUST HIM AND QUITE HONESTLY IF YOU CANNOT SAY YOU ARE SORRY AND HE COMES TO TERMS WITH YOU THEN THERE IS NO MARRIAGE

Sometimes, letting go seems like the easiest thing to do. But think about this: you've invested so much of your time and energy into another person; you've made a solemn promise; and you still know there's love, even if it's hiding underneath the surface. I would be puzzled to at the fact that he is hiding these pills. If you didn't notice this then what would have happened to the pills. Do you supect that he is taking them out of the house use caution addressing this issue.

I think that this is what they call a red flag and your husband is probably cheating or needs them for something else.
He does not want you to know how many pills he has, has used and how many you started out with.

Most drug abusers show the same signs as your husband. I would search his closet for other tell tale signs.

How funny! Perhaps he hides them because he wants to make sure no visitors to the house see them in the medicine cabinet (because people do snoop). Then, he forgets where he hid them so he refills his prescriptions. Afterwards, he stumbles across those hidden bottles!

In short, it could be that he's embarrassed that he has to take Viagra and also embarrassed that he can't remember his hiding places. Poor guy!

ADDITIONAL INFO:
Well, in that case . . . I'd definitely be suspicious! Lay low and keep your eyes and ears open. Trust your instinct, but don't accuse him of anything until you're fairly certain and have some measure of proof.

Wow, I am sorry to say but in my opinion, I think he is floating you some BS. As a man, you only hide things from your wife that you don't want them to know about, if you hide anything at all. I personally have nothing to hide from my wife and that makes no sense to me why he would hide his own pills. I'm sorry this is happening to you but although it appears that way, you never know, he could have a different weird reason for hiding them. I would talk to him about it either way. Communication is best in this tpe of situation. good luck.

You dont say how old he is but he could be having a mental issue. (dementia, begining stage altzheimer) Perhaps he doesnt remember wher he is puting them, or perhaps wants them everywhere so he can find them looking in a few spots. This is always a possibility.
