I'm almost 22, have not dated in 3 years, and have a job paying well enough to live without worries if i'm the only one in the picture. I had a girlfriend in high school for two years, followed by a few short ones (or long dates, you could say) and another girlfriend in college that was a manipulative, using, evil woman from which i could hardly escape, and ended up causing me to end up on too many medications for the problems she'd convinced me i had, which led to a mental breakdown and my dropping out of college, and so on Christmas Eve i called her fat and was living in another state by New Year's, where i recovered from stopping all my meds cold-turkey and got my life back. Now that i'm back home and making great progress in my career, i havn't really DONE anything lately, just working and buying stuff i've always craved, but is it normal to think that the last 3 years of no dates could be actually the start of a lifetime as such? I feel like im okay with the idea of living solo

my parents know this, but they do nothing. I cried so many times and told them i wanted to move out. They were upset and said if i do they'd not support me financially in Uni, or living expense.

Now i've thought of suicide many times and actually did once or twice, but got caught and they tried to not let me do this.

I want to call the police. But do u think it would be too cruel? I mean, he might be stressed out at work, and with a few drinks, he can't control himself.

I never thought of calling the police, until this afternoon, when he strangled me. But i don't want to call the police.

Do u think stabbing myself would be the best and smoothest way to end all this? Cuz i used pills before, got caught, and ended up in the hospital. When my parents took me home from the hospital they grounded me, and verbally assaulted me more.

My grades have always been straight A. Everyone thinks i have successful life. I guess if i die they would realize how successful they are.

Right now I'm in college, but let's play make-believe. My wife and I have 2 children. They are 12 and 14. We're both successful physicians. Now we get a divorce and she won custody of the kids. Since we're both making 300k apiece, would I still have to pay child support? remember. this isn't real so don't call me a deadbeat and rip on me. Besides, I'm old fashion. When I get married, i plan on staying married.

Im 29, 30 soon and i have a huge crush on one of my friends little sister. The thing is she is only 21, is that too much of a difference? I have noticed her maturing into a young woman the last few years, she is so beautiful and we always have a chat and a laugh when im over there, i dont think my mate likes it. I told him ages ago i fancy her and he didnt mind! The thing is she has always had a boyfriend but she split with the last one 3 months ago and told me last week that she's bored of being single now n wants a man! She also said she likes older guys than her, she said atleast 5 yrs! She 'joked' what am i getting her for christmas? Ive bought her perfume she mentioned she likes n am thinking of putting my mobile number on the xmas card to her asking her does she fancy coming out for a drink with me to search for mistletoe?! What do you think, i adore her! Im not taking advantage am i? I split wiv my ex 6months ago! Women my age are so serious!

I dont know how to ask this without writing a book. I loved my wife she loved me. We had a good life and then she left after 17 years. Her parents died and she went crazy. She met a guy in California we're in Jersey. I begged her not to do this but she won and i left, leaving her the house the kids ETC. this was almost 7 yrs ago. after about 2 years she wants me back but i had realized i wasnt as happy as i thought with her. I still love her we have three kids getting older and i think she loves me. The thing is Ive met a couple women that i got alone with much better then we ever did so i know soulmates exist. I just cant move on. I feel guilty moving on and being happy and even though i pay a big support + she dont have the life we had together. How do i get rid of that guilt so i can move on? or should i go back to an ok relationship despite all the disaggreements from being two different people? Theres alot more to this but this will have to do...

Ah, where to start..
I started dating an amazing person a while back and we fell in love very fast. We are now engaged and I have NO DOUBT in my head that he is the right person. Well, when we started dating in July of this year, he told me after a while that he had broken up with this woman (Nancy) in Jan (07) but she was now pregnant. Well, from what I've heard of her, she's not easy. (I can give her that) I guess they had sex a few times after the split and un June she came to him with papers from the dr. Well, **** was whited out and it just wasn't ligit looking. So the other day, my fiances sister Laura saw Nancys sister Grace. Well Grace didnt recognize her and Laura asked "So has Nancy had the baby yet?" So we actually know now that she really is pregnant. And were 90% sure its his. Shes not the type of girl to sleep around. Nancy hasnt contacted my fiance in several months. Ijust dont know what to do now..

His wife does not have custody of the child. She rarely visits with her child. When we have a family gathering , holidays whatever, she makes it a point to go get her child, take her away from her real grandparents and force her into our family gatherings. It is uncomfortable for everyone because we have rarely seen this child. And she doesnt want to be there either so it is very uncomfortable for her. We feel that we have to buy her the same amount of gifts that we buy for our children because she is there. Things are short this year financially and we cannot buy her gifts like we have for our children.

Hi everyone, I have a confession problem now, hope you guys can help me out. I knew this guy through some co-workers and he asked me to hang out last weekend. After talking to him, I realized that we were both orginally from California and our families actually live in the same city (Tustin,CA).We went to movies on Sunday and then he suggested grabbing some food and heading to his apartment to eat.So we spent time at his apartment and watched TV until after dinner. The next day he texted me and said that he had fun and thanked me for coming out. I texted him to say thank him, too.Two days later I realized that I really like him and I decided to email him to say hi. At the end of the email I wrote: "Btw I was thinking how can you be living in So Calif and also live in Tustin city, do you know what this tells us?" I was trying to imply that it was such a coincidence that we were both from the same place, indirectly telling him that I like him..but he never responded back..what do I do!!?

my sisters-in-law behave like protectors of their brother. I feel like they don't see me as part of them. Since they are close with their brother, they often discuss me and my actions, since i am a third party anyway. And well, brother is always right..

I feel like this is lack of respect for me as a person. I really don't like that attitude. Are all sisters-in-law this way?

I am happy they don't live with us. but whenever they come for some days, i have to put up with all this.

What would you do?

When I'm not around them I try to act like this macho man,but as soon as they see me aproach with smiles saying hello,I start to blush,
and get butter flies in my stomach.I hate that feeling,I wish I could
be like other guys who are brave,in where shyness does not exist to them.I don't know how to do that.I need help,so that I could have better luck with women.

I am a 21 year old college student. I find that I can get a date with almost anyone I ask, this hasn't been a problem for almost a year. The problem is I don't have a clue what I am doing after the first one...when you enter that muddled and confused stage where no one knows where they stand. I feel like I drive girls off by calling them too much.

Example: girl I've known for about two years, not hung out with her too much, went on a group date, has been too busy since then. I've asked her to hang out four times in the past two weeks, and each time she was "busy." I'm pretty sure she's not interested now. My main question is this: is she not interested because I was too persistent perhaps, or do you think she was never interested?

I'm black and he's white and anytime I'm with my boyfriend people gawk at us and shake there heads.

I'll admit that I used to be the same way. I used to think it was wrong to date outside your race, but I'm actually happy. I met the man I'm with years ago and he wants to be with me.

Is it wrong for us to be together? What should I do when people stare? I'm 19 yrs old and he's 20.

She always has something negative to say about everyone, even people she don't really know! She gripes that ee spend to much on our children all of the time, which I feel is none of her business! When she comes for a visit, I live out-of-state, she always has to go into my kids bedrooms and see what she can see, then when she goes home, she tells everyone that is ridilicous how much stuff we've bought for our children, and that they don't want for anything they don't already have, things like that. Drives me nuts! Why does she have to be like that? She tells everyone this stuff, even old friends of mine is she bumps into them, people I haven't seen in years!! She recently told my Aunt that my husband spoils me because he takes turns cooking with me, and that he helps me clean the house when I'm sick or don't feel like it, why is it any of her business? Ugh, she's like a mockingbird and I'm sick of her crap!

I have been with the same guy for 6 yrs now and we really dont have plans to marry. He has issues and I think he hasnt gotten over his past and didnt ever really cope with his divorce. He still has his ex in all his financial business and in all his personal business. Together, they have actually made me pretty unhappy early on. He would like for me to turn a blind eye to his shinnanigans and pretend like I am either stupid or desperate which I am neither. I think my eyes are wide open here.
I am financially on very solid ground and make an excellent salary. He is the same, but money is not everything. We have sex, but not the good kind.
I have no desire to date any more, so I suppose thats why I am still giving him the time of day. I am sick of the way men use and abuse my kindness and think the dating thing is behind me. I dont want to hang out in the singles group and all my friends are married. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated. Are you single and happy and 40?

My fiance (father of my 1yr old son) admitted to me he cheated on me. He admitted as he drove me to the Health Dept. because the girl he was with just told him she may have been exposed to and STD from another mate. I asked why he cheated he said partly because I wasn't giving it to him at home. Which I wasn't because I have been telling him since our son was born I need to get back to the no sex b4 marriage belief I have. I didnt cut him off cold turkey though. As a matter of fact he recently got some and tried to get me pregnant. He says he wants to get me pregnant one more time as a garauntee I'm not going anywhere. I have not done anything to make him think I will leave him. I broke off the engagement the week b4 he tried to get me pregnant again. I told him now is not the time for us to get married bc i feel he was not being completely honest about somethings. I never said we would never get married. I just wanted him to wait to propose later after we worked on somethings. Help

A friend of mine has been engaged (ring ceremony) as in Indian tradition. It happened under family pressure. She now wants to call her marriage off to marry someone else. What excuse should he give the guy she's been engaged to? She feels sorry for him and her family and feels they are at no fault. Also she is unable to decide how to convince her parents about facing their family. Should she say the truth as it is, obviously the guys family will get pissed that if it was so why at the first place they did it?
What excuse can she give to call it off preventing such scenarios from happening?? Pleaseeee advise.

I had a very loving, happy, fulfilling relationship with my boyfriend (or so I thought). He broke up with me randomly for reasons that are hard for me to understand, although I think his point was that we are just at two different places in our lives. He is the first guy I ever talked about marriage and having kids with. It's hard for me to let this relationship go because of the future we once talked about. Are separation is hard to accept because how can two people talk about marriage and kids and then one day be completely over? I still have hopes of us getting back together because I truly believed he was "the one" and he had said the same about me.
I have asked him what he thinks and sometimes he says he sees himself marrying me one day...Other times, he says I should just move on because he doesn't want to hold me back from living my life...
Is it completely irrational for me to be having thoughts of us reuniting again one day?

I havent seen her in 3 years, shes a distant relative. I dont want to upset her but she keeps emailing me alot. What upsets me is that i wrote some emails to her sharing my life with photos and recieved no response.
Shes old, in her 60s , never married, no kids, i feel she was jealous, shes also made remarks in her emails to me putting me down and i had to defend myself..

I tried not responding to her, we had no contact for like a year, then she invited me and my mom for thanksgiving, i had to email her back saying "sorry i have alot of work to do but thanks"... Then she emails me saying "i hope you make it next time with your family at my house and i have alot of projects to do myself"
I felt it was a dig, then i get an email from her saying "Today is my birthday, happy birthday to me,, she sent it out to many people,, so i just said happy bday.
Now she emails saying "I hope i see you all before xmas, my friend is selling nice stuff on ebay"... I responded "yes i hope to see you too

I think many people who get divorces or cheat on their partner have little self-discipline arising from a very easy, carefree lifestyle. I think most people who stay together have gone through many trials and tribulations but have kept on fighting even though there may have been times when it seemed hopeless.

For example, I know a lot of people who smoke pot, cheat on their partners, do crimes, cheat in school, drink too much, party too much, etc. and I can just tell that they are going to get a divorce later on in life. You can just tell. I can't explain it, but you can just tell. You can just tell that there is no way this undisciplined cheater is going to get married and stay that way until one of them dies. There's just no way.

On the other hand, I know people who have worked really hard in life despite harsh odds. They have grown up in poor environments, had to deal with abuse, struggled in school, etc.
But they end up successful in life because of their drive to succeed.
