I'm almost 22, have not dated in 3 years, and have a job paying well enough to live without worries if i'm the only one in the picture. I had a girlfriend in high school for two years, followed by a few short ones (or long dates, you could say) and another girlfriend in college that was a manipulative, using, evil woman from which i could hardly escape, and ended up causing me to end up on too many medications for the problems she'd convinced me i had, which led to a mental breakdown and my dropping out of college, and so on Christmas Eve i called her fat and was living in another state by New Year's, where i recovered from stopping all my meds cold-turkey and got my life back. Now that i'm back home and making great progress in my career, i havn't really DONE anything lately, just working and buying stuff i've always craved, but is it normal to think that the last 3 years of no dates could be actually the start of a lifetime as such? I feel like im okay with the idea of living solo

If you are happy with it, then go with it! You might meet someone that changes your mind (since it usually happens when you aren't looking) but if you don't and your happy well then... you're happy, go with it.

Good luck and if you do happen to meet someone that you might end up give them a chance, you never know!

Hey, you know what dude, the one thing you really have to do is look in the mirror and honest with yourself. If you can honestly be happy without having a partner in your life then i say go for it. But just make sure that's what really makes you happy you know? There is nothing wrong with living the single life, damn what others think or say about you. Just make sure what you're doing truly makes you happy, and if so, go with it! That's the best you can do. Plus you are young, just go about your business and you never know, you might run into the right girl by accident.
P.S. Go finish college!

If you're happy like that , why not. There used to be an expression , i don't know if it's still in use , "Confirmed Bachelor". Not everyone sees the need to marry or have a life partner. If and when she comes into your life, you wil know.
I have to say I found mine almost 36 years ago.
Hope this helps.

If being committed to one person isn't something you want, then you don't need to do it. It's OK for you to be selfish at this point in your life. You're young and don't have any obligations to anyone but you. Having a s/hitty relationship, like the last one you had, can change a person and if you're happy being solo, more power to you!

Well there's no rule to say you must get married and have children etc. If you're happy alone then stay alone for as long as you want. It's your life at the end of the day. Lots of people dont get married or live alone. Each to their own.

Living alone is normal. SOme people don't get married their whole life. LIke my aunt, she doesn't get married at all. But she's OK. She lives a pretty normal and happy life. If u want a baby, u can always adopt one.

buddy my goal is to be single, nothing can hold me back. when you are in a relationship you have to have some type of responsibility. to me if you are single you can enjoy your life more, do whatever you like to do, nothing to worry. but keep in mind at a certain time of life you me and everyone feels so lonely that they badly wants company.
