Misdemeanor carnal knowledge of a juvenile is sexual intercourse with consent between someone age 17 to 19 and someone age 15 to 17 when the difference in their ages is greater than two years."

Does that mean that a girl 16 1/2 years old and a guy 18 years old having sex isn't considered statutory rape? Because he's under 19 and the age between the two is LESS than two years?

so i wouldnt normally complain but, ive just had it. my mom always spends tons of money we dont have on my sister. shes even bought her 4 outfits (shoes, 2 or 3 shirts, pants, jacket, earings, everything) for ONE date with her boyfriend and buys him stuff too. everytime my sister is hungry, sick, or just wants my mom, my mom rushes to her everyneed. yet whenever im sick or need help with my home work i have to beg her to come and help me and even then she is in a bad mood and mad at me for doing so. and tonight my sister and her bf decide to sign on my screen name and IM everyone on my buddy list and tell them weird stuff and really immature stuff and when i tell my mom she gets mad at me. at me! then she goes and apoligizes to my sister and her bf for the way I was acting! and not to mention she favors my sisters boyfriend too cause my sister gets depressed after a breakup and she doesnt want them to breakup. ive tried talking to her it didnt help. im crying idk what to do?

My man and I have been living together for 1yr 8 months. As Time has passed I have learned he is very lazy, He gets outta work and lays on the couch does almost nothing. I have to go out everynight and get us something to eat, Keep in mind I work also. I practically had to twist his arm just to get him to take me out for my birthday. But when it's something he wants to do like hang out at friends house or anything that benefits him he'll go out no questions asked. At the same time our world in the bedroom has crashed! I have talked him about these things and he says he'll change but i havent seen anything different. No he doesn't beat on me or call me names. We barely even argue.Although through all this I feel like my love is fading for him. Is it me or is it time for me to move on. Would a break help maybe so we can have time to think? I don't know what to do...HELP PLEASE!

My husband and I are form two different countries and we are both living in another country. We work in two different organizations and we have a 5 months old baby boy. We are divorcing and I would like to file for full custody because it seems impossible for me to have shared custody. The baby is too young and even though we can make arrangements for shared custody for the time being, I don't see how this can be arranged in the future. I can be assigned to another country and so does he. What are my chances?

9/10 times when we get into an argument my husbands resorts to name calling. Now I wouldn't be so pissed off had we just yelled at each other, but like today, I slept in on MY DAY OFF and he didn't set his alarm figuring i would wake him up for work, he wakes up with 15 minutes til he has to leave(virtually enough time to get ready and out the door) and he calls ME a lazy ***... Now can someone please tell me, is this normal, he's 21 and he knows he's doing this I tell him allt he time I can't stand it when he calls me names and his reaction is "I'll work on it, its a problem and its your fault you're not supporting me, ect ect..." anyone have any word on this? he thinks its because when he gets frustrated he has nothing else to take it out on, I'm afraid that when we start having children he might to the same thing to them... help please?!?

My partner and i broke up 3 weeks ago. She broke up with me because she felt her feelings for me had changed! We didn't speak or have any contact with one another for over 2 weeks. But we have spent an hour on the phone talking about things and she is finding things just as hard as me but doesn't fell her feelings for me are their still. In the last 2 days we have been texting each other and emailing. She still wants me in her life and thinks of me as her best friend still. I told her i still want to be with her and that in time i am going to try and make her fall in love with me again, she felt that was ok for me to do.
We both feel some time apart will be good for us and she hasn't ruled out getting back together in the future.
My question is, is it good for me to stay in contact with her and be her bestfriend or should i back right off?

We both have had many ups and downs but somehow we always pull through them.. we've been through the arguments.. lies.. betrayl and we feel our love is much stronger now and has grown more than ever.. we also have a baby on the way (jan 27th)... he always reminds me he knows what he wants in life thats why he always stuck by me... and the same goes for me! I have mentioned to him before Im a little terriffied of marriage because my parents seperated countless times and ive seen so much pain they went through and always complained.. 1. I asked my mom directly if I can have a cell phone and she said "no, I can't think of any reasons of why you need a phone."

2. I made up a list of 20 reasons of why I need a cell phone. I asked her "now can you think of any reasons?" and she said "Nope, I still don't think you need one."

3. Now I ask her directly why she won't let me have a cell phone and you know what she says? either "because I said so," or "because I'm the mom."

Why won't she let me? I am offering to pay the entire bill and for the cell phone, I have almost straight A's, AND I said that if my grades drop, she can just take it away. I can't think of anything, HELP!!

My boyfriend and I have always had an underlying issue concerning his ex, who he was still very angry/hurt/obssesed with when we started dating. He talked my ear off about "how badly she screwed him up" for what seemed like an eternity, and seemingly over night he got over it and was suddenly ready for a serious relationship. It's been good for months. Today, I was using his cell phone and went outside to call someone, and had the urge to look through his text messages. There were messages from her asking him to bring her something back from his upcoming trip, and just being really cutesy. The other day we argued a little because he went on a 20 minute rant about how she "had the nerve to call him because she was depressed and then abruptly got off the phone because she was going out with her new boyfriend." Me, of course, getting pissed that he's even taking her calls after how badly she supposedly hurt him. Now that I see these messages I don't know what to think. Should I tell him?
