Its hard to have that many kids and make sure they are all happy... Your daughter and Brady have each other i would put them on "house arrest" that way they still have each other but are away from the drugs and alcohol lock the basement all the doors and windows so they don't sneak out change the alarm code (if you have one). maybe lock them in their rooms if you are okay with that. Thats all the advice I can give you. I'm really sorry but theres isn't much you can do in a situation like this. I think you have handled things well. About your daughter, do more mom and Mercedes' things with just the two of you (spa day?). Tell her that she is her own person and completely different from her sisters and that you are okay with what ever she chooses to do as long as it's healthy for her. She is going through a difficult sage in her life. She might think mom is the last thing she wants, but mom is the first thing she needs. Your other daughters are adults and can handle themselves, you have raised them already. Now just focus on raising the other children. Don't freak out i think you have been doing well so far :) Good luck! :)

If he is really close to his mom that is a good thing in itself. Not the potential fact that he could be getting nutured too much but the fact that he has love and respect for his mom. When a guy treats his mother really good and really respects her he tends to do the same for his gf/ wife. So if he says that take it as a BIG HINT!!! keep doing what you're doing cuz he really appreciates you.

It has been scientifically proven that people "transfer" their expectations and feelings towards others in new relationships. This is called transference and is used by psychologists to establish better relationships with their clients. It is a good thing that you remind him of his mother with whom he has a good relationship, but depending on his relationship with his mother it might put unwanted stress or expectations on you, considering a child-caregiver relationship is generally a win-lose situation.

well alot of people do say that..a guy grows up to marry a women just like his own mother. it could be good and bad. depending on how you look at it. you just remind him of his mom. which is good in this situation because they are very close. so im sure that he has alot of trust in her.

I was reading that thoes types are the best choices in a psychology magazine but not if he puts his mother over you all the time they say he shouldn't at all since your his girl.
Anyway its up to you do you like to be compared to his mother?
But people are compared everyday like so people may compare that girl to a model or a singer so comparing is normal but its how you feel.
Like I was reading about this over weight lady who dumped her boyfriend of 2 years because he compared her to his fat mother and thats why he loves her....not because of her but how he related his mother in her...so its your choice.

Appreciate it as it only shows how much he respects you.
For most men, their mother is the ideal woman and if he thinks of you that way, you should be really happy!

People either go for someone who is like their parents, or the opposite. Take it for a complement, unless you actually act like his mother and baby him.
