My partner and i broke up 3 weeks ago. She broke up with me because she felt her feelings for me had changed! We didn't speak or have any contact with one another for over 2 weeks. But we have spent an hour on the phone talking about things and she is finding things just as hard as me but doesn't fell her feelings for me are their still. In the last 2 days we have been texting each other and emailing. She still wants me in her life and thinks of me as her best friend still. I told her i still want to be with her and that in time i am going to try and make her fall in love with me again, she felt that was ok for me to do.
We both feel some time apart will be good for us and she hasn't ruled out getting back together in the future.
My question is, is it good for me to stay in contact with her and be her bestfriend or should i back right off?

STAY OUT OF THE "FRIENDS" ZONE WITH YOUR EX GIRLFRIEND UNLESS YOU INTEND ON BEING FRIENDS.

Friendship would be great, being a guy though I know how difficult and incomprehensible it is in our eyes to be friends with an ex-girlfriend with no sex involved. And believe me, when your ex-girl wants to be friends with you. It typically means no sex.

So for now,
Back off, give her some space, (real space I might add), let her have time to miss you, then she'll come back to you.

Maybe you should give it a little rest. Be with some friends, keep your options open. I think that you should stay in contact, but it doesn't have to be so serious... Smile at that cute girl in the checkout lane at the bookstore. Life could get more interesting for you and if your heart still aches for your partner, then tell her that too.

Stay in contact with her, if you do indeed love her. Maybe your friendship will help you both remember how you fell in love with each other in the first place. Communication is key !! Good Luck !!!

I think it would very difficult to remain friends with an ex. I could not just be friends, for at least a while, so maybe call her in a couple of months.

Back off, or get counseling. One of you is not reading the same script.

What you need to do is ask yourself what you want. After that you need to do what is right for you. Forget trying to get answers from a bunch a witless retards.
