My boyfriend and I (both in our mid 20s) have been together for 3 years in January and have lived together for 3.5 years (we started out as just roomates). About a year and a half ago we moved 20 hours away from all of our friends and family to a new state. I used to be so ready for him to propose, but the more and more I think about it lately I don't know what i would say. We are always arguing and both of us always want to be right. Any suggestions on how to figure out what to do or how to make our relationship work better?? I just don't know if we would last if we did get married b/c of the arguing.

I am a white woman who only dates white men. It is more of a preference than anything. But a friend of mine recently told me she thinks that is racist thinking. Do you agree?

I was reading this article about a couple that are in that situation. The wife feels since she doesn't want it anymore it's ok for her husband to find it eslewhere. I think that is CRAZY!!! I think even if you are well meaning and feel your doing it out of love for your partner your still opening a door that you might not be able to close when you want to. Thats not even taking into consideration that when you get married you take vows that are suppossed to be life long.

I am a new mom, as of 4 weeks ago, and I really want to go out christmas shopping for the afternoon with my son FOR my husband..But he keeps giving me guilt trips about not taking him. I've tried to explain to him that Im going shopping for him, and he cannot come, but he just gets upset. Why is this? Why cant I just be a PERSON and go out on my own? It seems whenever I make plans to do anything, this is what happens....why, from your personal experiences, is he doing this to me?

What suggestions do you have so that I can provide her more pleasure?

to pick his son up from school when it is his turn but he is not able? He is divorced and his son lives with his ex wife. He visits us once a week and every other weekend. On the days he is not able to pick up his son he asks his ex-wife to do it for him and then he picks him up at her house. He tells me he does not want to ask her if it is okay for me to pick him up because it would upset her. When they were going through their divorce he told her they would do the parenting and I would not be involved. But it has been a year and a half now. I believe my boyfriend still feels very guilty about having an affair and leaving his wife and son. However, maybe I should count my blessings - she hardly ever calls our home and does not interfere in our lives. Any advice?

My fiance and I are going to a place where we want to have our wedding tomorrow afternoon to meet with the lady in charge. It's a restaurant that has a terrace with a great view. The lady said it should only take about 15 minutes for the meeting, but that seems fast to me - don't you normally want to look at the prospective contract, talk about what is/isn't allowed (for decorations, times, etc.)? Or do you normally go back and do that when you actually plan on signing the contract? They have a few dates available next May and June, so I'm sure we'll end up having our wedding there (not worried about getting a date).

Anyway, I guess what I'm wondering is what I should ask the lady when we're there tomorrow, and what I should look for about which room we decide to have the reception in (there are 2 options) (for example, I've heard I should look at the restroom situation - what else?).

Here's a link to their wedding info:

This may sound strange. I'm not having the wedding video taped b/c of budget issues. But I want to know, since you actually didn't see the whole cermoney because you were the last to walk in. Do you feel like you missed out on your cermony.

I have a good female friend, we're both married with kids and I'm attracted to her. I don't know for sure, but I think she's attracted to me. I don't want to screw up my marriage, I love my wife, but if something ever happens to her I've been wondering if I could have a chance with my friend - even if we're in our 70s. Am I crossing some wierd line if I want to make a deal with her that no matter how old we get if we are ever single at the same time, we try a relationship?

I like women who are strong and controlling..A woman who can discipline a guy...Does all this say that I am a panty-waist and a sissy? I am ok with it if you say yes to that last part.

Recently, my father has become ill and he has come to stay with me and my family. I have a wife and a five year old daughter who also live with me. Yesterday, my father was getting out of the shower and my daughter ran into the bathroom because she needed to use the restroom and 'couldn't wait.' When she got into the bathroom, my father had appearantly been out of the shower for a couple of minutes. This is very awkward for me. My daughter later asked what that thing was that Grandpa was shaking between his legs. I asked my father what happened and he told me. How do explain what my father was doing to my daughter?

my mother in law is VERY superstitious and personally i don't believe in any of her rituals and ridiculous acts. me and my husband have 3 small children and everytime she visits, she teaches them rituals and gives them wishbones and feathers and other things to hang over their doors and i have told her numerous times that i would rather she didn't do this but she she still sneaks and does it when they spend the night at her house. what should i do ?
