I'm a single mom of a 2 yr old and a 1 yr old. I've been dating a man for six months now and he is talking about marriage. He goes to church every Sunday and tells me how much he loves me and my kids and wants to be together. I should be walking on air that someone is willing to love a ready made family but I find myself going back and forth emotionally. I like the comfort of having him around and my girls respond wonderfully to having a father figure in their life on daily basis. I just don't feel the same passion and desire for this man as I did for my kids father.

I've accepted me and my ex will not be together so why am I holding back with this good man that is in my life now? I'm afraid if I let him go I may never meet any one else and end up alone. If I stay with him will I ever feel that deep love I have always thought I would have when I met the right person?

I just met a young lady at work a few days before she was leaving for another job. Before she left I told her that I wished that I could have worked with her more and that I wished that I could get to know her better. I asked her for her number, and she gave it to me very willingly. Actually I was surprised that she was so responsive; and now I'm feeling a bit nervous. (Go figure).
I want to call her; but I don't want to cross that thin line and seem to eager by calling right away.
(You know, girls don't seem to like guys that are too eager).

Should I wait a few days so I seem nonchalant?
Or should I go for it right away like a hunter?

It seems like no matter how old I get, I still don't know how to approach the girls.

I recently got engaged to my boyfriend of 3 years. I love him to death I truly do but he's going down the wrong path.

I'm a 20 year old medical student going to college. My boyfriend didn't go to college right away he worked at shop rite. He recently decided to turn his life around and attend college he is going to community college his mother is paying for it.

At first he took 4 courses and continued to work at shoprite he is a chemistry major VERY SMART...just doesn't care...he dropped his one class is now taking 3 classes and somehow managing to fail 2 of them!!

I'm really worried....his best buddy also moved in with him over the past summer and I honestly believe that has a lot to do with his downfall. His best friend does numerous drugs and my fiance is smoking pot. He has been doing it for 3 years but more so now....

I asked him what he wanted to do with his life and how he planned to support us he said he'd continue to work at shop rite and every 6 months he'd get a raise

My friend currently has a boyfriend...?
whom she has been with for 4 years...She started working with a good friend of hers, who happens to be engaged...(No wedding plans though...) They ended up kissing and then he told her that he just wanted to be friends, and didnt want to do anything to jeopardize their friendship, and 2 days later ended up making the move to kiss her again! WHat do I tell her to do? It's obvious that neither of them are happy in their current relationships or they wouldnt have cheated...I don't know what to tell her, Im a a loss of words, help!!

I've known this guy about a month...lol...I know it's not long. He's told me several times that he knows we have to be careful b/c of the situation I just got out of.(I just divorced my cheating husband) The thing is...I'm over it. Our marriage was over a long time before the divorce was final. I know it seems sweet that he wants to be careful...but I don't really want my divorce to be something that holds us back. I've told him I understand what he means b/c I don't want either one of us to get hurt & he said he's glad we are thinking alike & on the same page. He says he's scared of getting married b/c he wouldn't want his wife to cheat on him or for it to end. I divorced b/c I pretty much had no choice...my husband basically kicked me out. I'm afraid that him being so cautious is going to affect us not getting closer. He wants to be fwb first & hopefully become more. I am the type to fall hard & fast. Btw, we've hooked up twice & w/no protection. (kinda nervous)

So gentlemen... would you rather have a gorgeous girl who laughed at all of your jokes and always tried to impress you and had a great sense of style or..

And independant working minded girl who would stand up tp you if she wants and decides her own decisions, who has brains in her head and who would have deep meaningful conversations with.

The reason I ask this is because all the guys in my school seem to be interested in pretty girls in mini skirts who hate learning and love purses and I'm wondering if any guys out there see beyond the superficial...

It's been 4yrs, the relationship is going nowhere. I love him very much but he's still not willing to make a committment to me even though we've lived together for over 2 yrs of our 4 yr relationship.

I am posting this question in Marriage and Divorce because my boyfriend and I have been together for a long time - and before you ask, the reason we aren't married is because I want to finish law school first, and he is fine with this.

Here is my issue. Our sex life is great - I am satisfied with it, and he has expressed that he is, too. The thing is, that before I was with him (way back in the dark ages) I was a more sexually adventurous gal - but he is a more traditional lover. Not to mean that he's boring, because he isn't, but I crave a more 'depraved' kind of kink. His idea of a wild night is to bust out some kama sutra type stuff with me and get acrobatic, but I am more (historically) into more S&M (light) stuff, and some bondage/BDSM stuff, and I also really enjoy playing with toys. He and I have never done this kind of thing, and I am tentative on how to approach him with it, as we have been together so long, and he appears to be completely satisfied with our sex life.

I finally found a store front for my dance school I can afford with an estimate from the contractor he told me that it should cost 12,000. So I put together a benefit show casted dancers and choreographers and all I have to do is direct. Everything is going so well and now I found out I am 2 months pregnant the show is supposed to go up the second week of June and I am not due until July 5th. My husband is mad that I am continuing and he keeps arguing with me and telling me I am not thinking about our family but I feel I am. Once the show is over I can take a few months off relax with the baby and then set up the school. I feel like I am so close should I just stop let this pass me by and enjoy being pregnant what do? What do I tell all those people I think with planning it is possible but he keeps arguing with me am I being too focused and not seeing reality.

My boyfriends family are good people. They are just fake people. So we go to a great Monday night football game back in october. Everyone having a GREAT time. It's time to go and we all had a good amount to drink. We leave to only leave from a good and exciting place to entering a war! My boyfriend and his sister start to argue...next thing you know his brother in law is going after him for no apparent reason. His sister is yelling, everyone is yelling!!! I look to see him on the ground b/c ( his sister had to sick her husband on him) with his arm hanging out of his shoulder. From there we sat in the E.R. and two months(almost) later surgery is completed and it's a healing process til February. Delema is we haven't talked to his sister or her husband since the accident. The holidays are here his mother is upset with the fact he is not around and guess who is the talk at the table??...Me i am the only one who did nothing wrong and his family hates me for this!!...WHAT SHOULD I DO

Well, yeah...

I feel like im in a pit surrounded by fire and there's no way out. First off, my grades, for the first time ever, are very low and im on the verge of failing. My mom says that she'll send me to summer school if i fail, and we dont even have enough money to do that. I don't even have any future plans because i dont know what im gonna do(BTW im in the 10th grade and running out of time), to be honest, i don't plan on living that long anyways, because i know im gonna be pushed off the edge, and end up poisoning myself.
People, i appreciate your help, but the tutor advice never works, trust me. I done it before, and i doesn't change a thing in my case. Frankly, i cant take school seriously anymore, and hell, i know my family is MOST LIKELY to think less of me if i fail, because i'll be the first one. But im just like: **** it.

My mom is being mean alot.She goes off and does things behind my back and the same with my dad.

Tonight her friend found out that his friend commited suicide,and she was took him to a bar and was all like "Im not drinking and im trying to be a friend!!!!!!"

Like 2 weeks ago my friend accidently hit me in the head with a shovel and then i got home and she said that she was going to her friends for a while,and i wanted her to stay home cause i didn't feel good at all and i started crying and she started yelling and i didn't even do anything.

Then tonight i found this crap used for THINGS *hint hint* and it really ticked me off.

Im sick and tired of her friend and her big mouth,He is all she cares about and she doesn't act like she cares about me and when she does she acts like a little kiss-up.

I am so mad and just want to run away and never come back (Not really gonna!) and cry.

Im angry and upset both at the same time.

ive been hired to take care of an 11 year girl for a few weeks. im going to being going over to the girls house in the mornings. ill be making breakfast, helping her get ready school, making her lunch, taking and picking her up from school, taking and picking her up from ballet, helping with homework, helping with dinner, and whatever else the mother might need to do while she is recovering. im not sure what charge though. help me out!

i feel like i love this guy that i've been chatting with for a year. i've seen pictures of him and i find him very attractive and his personality is amazing, he's smart, open minded, sweet, caring, etc. everything I want in a lifelong partner. he has changed me for the better, things i've never had the courage to do in the past, i've done, and i believe it's because I've had his support.

During which I didn't even get to respond. She just screamed at me on the phone accusing me of "excommunicating" my hubby from his family and accusing me of holding him "hostage" here because we moved 35 miles away and then she told me I am punishing her mother because I took him from his home there. He's 46. It's ridiculous. I wrote her a letter. I asked her to take it nicely and in it, since I didn't get to dispute her accusations the other day, I dispute them and then I tell her it's none of her business and that my husband backs me up on everything I say. To my face he does back me up. Do I send this letter to her? I think it will shut her up. Doesn't matter what I say, she will always hate me, but at least I'll get my 2 cents in.

I have good reasons to do this, and I was even recommended both on yahoo and by a therapist that this would be a rational option ( would rather not go into detail about why I plan on doing it though).

For those of you who had to get of your family system or cut yourself off, did you feel it was a good decision? Did you feel happier or did you regret it?

I don't mind regaining contact with my mom if I take the plunge, because I want to show her something for her own good.....but there's a chance she won't like my decisions and refuse to talk to me. If she refuses to talk to me, I will accept it and move on with myself.

No, talking to my parents and explaining to them how I feel won't help at all (I've tried for many years)If people don't want to change, you can't change them.

alright so for ten years it was just my cousins Chris and Ben and Me. Chris is seventeen going on eighteen, Ben is fourteen going on fifteen and next month i'll be seventeen. growing up we were literally best friends. being an only child, Chris and Ben were like brothers to me.

I always knew i loved them more than they loved me but i treasured having them. they were the only thing close to brothers and i treasured that.

recently, i got their myspaces. Chris never had me on his top friends (when he turned ten, he basically stopped talking to me. now he is though) and Ben put me on his top friends. Now i am not on ben nor chris's top friends and when i leave them a comment, they dont reply.

we used to be very close. i know we have had our rough times but i just wish i could be close to them again like we were all those years ago. i dont know what happend. all of a sudden i am off their top friends and out of their lives. they dont even talk to me!

what should i do?????

i live in michigan and i reside with my mother, we dont really get along( my brother and her didnt either) and we are having some problems. she has been unemployed for almost a year and we ar basicly living on child support and her boyfriends meesly 8 or 9 dollors an hour. we are behind in bills i believe. i have talked to my brother which is 22 years old and i can go live with him. if i get my moms permission can i move in with him and if so how do i do so?
