k so looooong story short.. my mom cheated on my dad, she lied to my sister and i, kicked my dad out, i came home about a month after the divorce to a stranger in my house.. turned out to be my moms boyfriend. dissowned my sister over my sister not liking the boyfriend pretty much.. (now my sister lives with my dad) and around this time i found out about my mom cheating on my dad. i found out my mom told her boyfriend that she made a mistake in wanting a family and kids.. and she feels its time to start focussing on taking care of her self and what she wants. she doesnt even care about me. she doesnt talk to me about anything except herself, i cant live with my dad because he cant afford to take care of me, and he doesnt have room. my mom doesnt know i know that she cheated and my dad doesnt know that im having a hard time living this way, neither does my mom.. when my sister told my mom how she felt about everything.. she got kicked out..

My boyfriend and i are in high school and have been in love with eachother for over 3 years. This past summer we broke up because he got scared that we were to close for our age. We both tried to move on by dating other people but we ended back together. We are now taking a "break" so that we can live the rest of our senior year as it should be. To make a long story short, we are both madly in love with eachother and cant imagine our lives without the other one. We both have expericed different relationships as well with other people. We both know that we are going to end up together in the long run. I have this feeling that he is going to ask me to marry him after we graduate but we will only be 18 when this happenes. So my question is if we both love eachother, we both have tried to move on but can't, will it be too soon if we get married at age 19, 20, or 21?

the guy i have a huge crush on found out becasue one of my mates told him. before all of this i was told by his friends that he likes me and now that he knows i like him he is ignoring me and he used to text me all the time and flirt with me and now he wont even look at me or text me. my best friend asked him if he still like me yesterday and he said he just wants to be friends. Basically, my family is really small and not very close. I had a lot of hurts in my childhood.

While my family members are not horrible people, I just can't help but feel disappointed because they are not the family I wish to have. We are not close, I can't "tell them anything," we don't hug or show physical affection. Basically, I just don't feel that close to them and a lot of times they make me angry. We have a very ambivalent relationship.

We're all getting together for the holidays (which almost never happens) and I'm afraid it will be a difficult experience. My mom, in particular, knows how to push my buttons. I pride myself on being a really kind, thoughtful, caring person, but I feel like I'm the opposite around her because she can upset me so much!! Then I feel like I'm a mean and shameful person.

How can I learn to love the good things and ignore the bad about my family?

I go out of my way to help my friend...he has 3 boys and gets them 4 days out of the week. he works very hard, going threw a divorce and has little money to support himself. I was out of a job so i helped him out from time to time, with babysittin and food and house duties.untop of things i have a four year old myself, i would do anything for anyone.i have always been that way. i sometimes feel i'm being used from him and everyone around me. he says he cares about me and worries when i get upset, but then there are times he is so distiant that it is sicking,how do i make him relize that i do it because i want to, and i care for him and his boys,

I'm looking for new ways to meet and talk to girls at the mall. Like what would I say when I approach them? What would I say if they are a cashier? What could I have my wing man do to break the ice? I'm open for any suggestions. I'm not shy when it comes to talking with girls, it is just when I first talk to them I don't know what to say. Hi guys, I'm in high school at the moment and just curious why I don't have a boyfriend - it seems like everyone does! I'm 15, a senior (I'm young) and from New Zealand but go to School in the US. I moved from New Zealand to Canada when I was 13, then moved to the US and this is my second year here. I'm smart, interesting, honest - some might say a bit of a goody good - and have lots of friends. I go to a catholic school but it is coed. I don't go to parties cause all that happens there is drugs, drinking and sex and I really don't want to be apart of that. Any ideas on why? I guess maybe my ideals are too high - but we are humans with dignity aren't we?

be honest please. i know this may be long but just bear with me i really need advice. i will appriciate it a lot. I'm feeling really happy in a new relationship but I'm also terrified. Love is scary.

Recently I've been having these nightmares where something in my life goes out of control...I think this indicates a problem with letting go and just letting things happen. I feel that in order to make things work I have to be perfect and nice all of the time. In fact, my guy said that I'm "almost too nice" to people. I am always so afraid to say or do the wrong thing and that he'll stop liking me.

Another thing is that saying goodbye is really hard for me. I just have such a great time with him that parting is difficult.

I received very little love as a child. Therefore, I tend to cling just a little too much. I don't call all of the time, and I don't ask him where he is every second...but I just can't relax and accept that he LIKES me as much as I like him.

How do I balance being loving towards him without being needy and demanding? How does a cool girlfriend act?

I thought I was doing okay. It has been 11 months since my ex and I spilt up. I could afford what we 'had'... but i had to refinance the house to get his name off - and that changed my mortgage by an additional $300+ per month.
I have a huge credit card bill from the attorney that i hired.
and plus the 2nd income isn't here in the house -- plus with him gone - it is just me . . . so sometimes it is hard getting OT at work because "I NeeD" to get home to the kids - he isn't there.

plus when we split up - he took stuff like the lawnmower - i went out and had to get one. . he took the TV so i went out and got one...

so i have added to my debt too.

just wondering if it is just me . . . or is this a part of this situation?

Do you think that a grown step-daughter, working full time and living at home with her dad and I should be paying for her room and board? Now add three children to this and me the step-grandma of 14 yrs (they refuse to call me grandma), I got them up, took them to and from school, fed them, cared for them daily, went to school programs with them 'cause mom was sleeping, etc. We have taken care of them for 5 months. The daughter works nights and sleeps days. Sometimes she did not even come home at 3:00 AM (like agreed upon), because a boyfriend got in the way. Are we, the grandparents wrong for not asking for room and board and childcare fees, I thought so? If you asked a grown daughter to pay her way, how much would you think would be right? When we asked her to help out, she moved out and is not speaking to us at all any more. She has moved in with different people 7 times in the last 4 months (with & without the kids) since she left. How do I mend this relationship with her dad?

I am having trouble with my family. I have been married for 3 years now. My husband and I have a daughter that will be 2 in December.

What I don't get is why are my parent's telling my husband and I how to raise our child? My mother is the worst, constantly telling me what I can and can't do to my daughter. Her recent rant was that I can't expect her to have a certain bedtime (which is usually between 8 and 9 pm) and she is just upsetting me all the time about things. I have tried to tell her to back off, but still nothing is helping me. I am considering to move to Iowa from Arkansas for this and other reasons. My mother also has her once a week and it is causing marriage problems because my husband can only spend time with my daughter on weekends. How can I get her to see this?

My dad is also a big player in this, because he keeps reminding me about when our next child comes out (which is in May) that it needs to be at least 18. Why are they doing this to me?

I have been married to my husband for about 2 years. We have had a good relatioship all the way up till we said our I do's. He works 2nd shift and by the time he gets home I'm ready for bed so we dont have much alone time. When it comes time to go to bed and be intimate I cant because he grosses me out. He will literally go 5 days without taking a shower. I tell him that is my problem and how he smells and stuff. I still cant get him to shower daily. Besides all that our relationship is great. I dont know how to make him realize that his hygene is effecting our relationship?

My husband and I have had some pretty serious problems (suspected cheating by him...almost separated) in our marriage over the past year or two. We ended up working things out and have been doing really good for the past few months, but I'm still very insecure about our relationship. Now, he doesn't seem to be all that interested in having sex. He used to want sex all of the time, but now I'm lucky if he wants it twice a month. I don't think he's cheating on me now and I don't want him to do anything with me that he doesn't want to do. I just don't know if I should be worried about our marriage.

By the way, we've been together for 14 years, married for 8, have 2 small children and both work full time jobs.
