I did, well unofficially which ended in him saying, "I guess we're engaged." and my replying, "Guess so, shite do we have to have a wedding?? I hate weddings!" and an argument about whether or not we could just go to the court house which ended in him winning and me having to wear a white dress.

Nope. We've both "Been There, Done That." Shacking up is better and we get to shock the straitlaced younger generation after some PDA when they assume we're married--always a bonus!
