I'm eighteen years old an have no dating experience, I work with a beautiful girl who I get along great with but she sends me mixed messages, I've known her for a awhile, we were friends in high school, now I see her at work everyday. I asked her out once a few months ago and she said she didn't want a relationship, but started fooling around with this guy Matt soon after, we send eachother text messages throughout the day, meet up at lunch and talk a little bit, what should I do to try to get Lucy to like me more, she's just someone I can tell I shouldn't give up on. My boyfriend and i have been together for almost 7 years (this march will be 7). However, we were only 15 when we started dating making me now 22 and him 23. We plan on moving to a different state this summer. I would really like to be engaged before we move so my family is around. So he can ask my dad permission and I can show my mom. He, however, is showing no interest in making this possible for me. He says he plans on asking me but he also says "we have our whole lives we are only 23." What should i do? I really want my parents around at the moment in my life. Does this mean that hes not sure if he wants to be with me if he wont propose before then?

i know this guy who when he was young his dad use to belittle him if he failed at something. anytime the dad had a bad day would take it out on the kid, and never was around his kid much. even after work he made the kid stay in after school programs.any little problem and he would just explode on the kid makin him feel bad all the time. one time the kid even made some cookies for the father and the father didnt even touch them. is this normal? the mother left at 2 yo

My tight wad husband wants a divorce. He makes $70,000.00 a year at one job, with his side job he makes over $100,00.00. I use to work but filed for disability about a year and a half ago. I'm still waiting on that. So I have no income. And no insurance without him. We have been married for 7 years. All this time he has been very greedy and selfish with HIS money. I get nothing but a roof over my head and he pays for my prescriptions. I'm trying to figure out if me waiting for disabilty will have a bearing on spousal support. Also, is there any way to make him cover me on insurance until the disability comes through? I'm very scared and upset that I will be left out in the cold.

I'll be having a baby soon with my hubby. His mom is completely against our being together due solely to my skin color--I'm Black, he's White. Does anyone have any ideas about how to get her to come around for her grandchild's sake? I don't want to have to tell him/her she's dead (at least to me.) His dad doesn't seem to have a problem with me after all these years.
Note: I will not have my child exposed to her racism under any circumstances.

They have known each other for 3 years. They were practically inseparable for 7 months. Then he suddenly said he didn't think he was ready to settle down. They have both been "seeing" other people. But over the last two years always gravitate back to each other. He says he will always love her. She can't/won't stop talking about him. She finally told me that she is considering proposing to him, and she wants my advice on how to do it. I figure I'll be a friend and support her decision either way, but as for how she can do it, I got nothin'.
So basically, adults only please, any opinions? What do you think?

I started dating my boyfriend michael in september of last year. (one year now) i'm 16 years of age, as to him. don't say i'm not inlove. because i definatly know i am. well around march we had broke up because he thought i didn't even care his exact words where "all my other g/f's broke up with me. i thought it was going to happen with us so i didn't care to keep it going and once i saw you so hurt i knew you did care." about a month after we broke up he asked me back out. over that time we had talked on occasion and i was trying to get over him. well we ended going back out again and after that everything was differend. i knew it would be but its just crazy. he is way over protective and in school i can't even look away from him. he icolated me from all my friends and don't trust me at all. i am scared. i'm tired of fighting. i do love him. i don't want to be with him and be beat anymore. but i still want him. people say i'm stupid and i know i am. but love is like that

Ok I am a 21 year old female and I like a 35 year old man. He is real sweet and caring it seems and he likes me too. We both play racquetball and I havent seen him at the gym for a couple of days and it has been driving me crazy and so I decided to call him and we ended up talking for 15 mins. on the phone. I told him I liked him and asked him how old he was and I said that age didnt matter to me and he said that life can work in funny ways sometimes. I told him I came up to watch him play but he wasnt there today which was true, and he said that he wanted to give me not only ONE ON ONE racquetball training, but one on one in other areas too and asked me if I wore something hot for him today. I am a 23 female who just graduated college in the spring. I am currently a grad student and a full time employee. I live at home both to save money and because I do not want to live alone and no one else I know is ready to move out yet. I have plans with a friend to move out this summer, however until then I need some help. My parents still treat me as the CHILD. I know that I am the child to them, but I need to be treated as an equal and talking to them about it doesn't work and paying them rent will defeat one of the reasons for living at home. I already keep my room neat, do my own laundry and make my own lunches. Is there anything else I can do to be seen as an equal rather than a child in the house?

Im 18 years olds and about to move out of the house and start college. He's commitment-phobic. He kept telling me he thought I was pretty, like he was apologizing. He said that he was freaked out by being in a relationship(of less than 2 weeks).
