No, me and my mom a great friends even though she is 26 years older than me. We get along real well and I'm the oldest in my family, so I guess that gave me a closer relationship with her. But, when she gets mad at me cuz I did something wrong then she will act like a true mother, which sadly means I get in trouble. But if your mother is your bff 24 hrs, lucky girl cuz atleast you can tell her everything and you maybe wont get into trouble as much. Also, I think that people with a good relationship with their parents tend to be more mature nad responsible.

It is so not weird that your mom is your best friend, especially at that age. My mom and I were too. It was such a wonderfull experience.

I thought it was greatest thing. Because we had such a great bond as friends, it was easier to go to her with difficult situations. Things that most would never go to their moms about, are the things that most moms can give the best advice on. And of course, mom's should be giving you the advice, not other peers of your own age, I mean, really, how much more than you could they know?

Your friends will get used to it and will more than likely grow to appreciate that bond you and your mom have. It will also open up the door for your friends to speak with a 'cool' adult who can give great advice.

Bravo for you!

As long as you remember that she's your mom and she remembers that you're her daughter, not at all. It is precious to have that close of a relationship with a parent.

Just a warning though--you'll feel a natural, biological urge to separate from her over the next few years. Some stress and change in the relationship is inevitable, but you two will become close again over time.

My mom had me when she was 22. So we are kinda like you. I tell her everything and she tells me everything. My WHOLE family is really close also. I don't think that it is weird because you chose your friends and you chose your mom as your best friend.

My mom told me about sex and stuff like that when I was six and we talk about it all the time. I tell her more stuff than I do than I tell my best friend that I met when I was six months old.

I love my mom and I know that you love yours. Your friends think that it is weird because they don't have as close as a relationship with there mom.

I know that for some girls it is kinda hard to talk to their mothers about stuff. If I am right you talk to your mom about boys, periods, friendship and stuff like that. I think that it is just that girls forget that their mothers were their age to.

Just cherish your relationship with your mother because you may never know when you need her most.

I think it is very healthy that you and your mom are so close.

Just know that just because you are open does not mean she will agree with everything you tell her. I am sure you know this.
Just be honest with her, I know she is so grateful for such a great daughter! And she must trust you so much!

I'm 22 and I wish me and my mom were like that. I hope you grow closer every day, your mom will be there when you have noone! :-)

No, it is not weird, and don't let that bother you what your friends, say or think, not one bit.

That is your Mom, she is still with you and still in your life. Besides, being your Mom, she is your best friend.

Other, than Jesus Christ, she is your best friend.

There is no other, and there will no be another.

I am so happy, for you. I wish my Mom, was still alive. She was my best friend, too and I don't care who knows it.

Have a good Thanksgiving.

No its not weird, its a wonderful thing that your that close to your mom. A lot of people unfortunatly dont have that close relationship. You should really cherish that. It's the corrupted society today that say its "weird". Never listen to what society says.
