I'm eighteen years old an have no dating experience, I work with a beautiful girl who I get along great with but she sends me mixed messages, I've known her for a awhile, we were friends in high school, now I see her at work everyday. I asked her out once a few months ago and she said she didn't want a relationship, but started fooling around with this guy Matt soon after, we send eachother text messages throughout the day, meet up at lunch and talk a little bit, what should I do to try to get Lucy to like me more, she's just someone I can tell I shouldn't give up on. Thanks-

Let her know how you feel. As a friend she won't do anything to hurt you.

Don't just ask her out randomly. SHOW her that she deserves more than just random, meaningless flings. SHOW her that you can be everything she wanted.

Gain her complete trust. Let her know that you will always be there, and mold your relationship so that she's a really good friend, even a best friend.

Pay attention to what she says and then use her likes/dislikes to your advantage. Girls like it when a guy pays attention to what she says, then goes out of their way to make her happy.

But don't be too overwhelming. Don't be clingy, or call her 24/7. Don't be overprotective either. Just make her feel special and comfortable and wanted.

If it helps, let a mutual friend (preferably a girl) to help you out with wooing her. Have her put in a good word for you; maybe it will set you apart from other guys.

We always want what we can't have. You already asked her out once and got turned down. She may just want to be friends. To find out, ask her if she has decided if she wants to on a date with you again. If she says no a second time, plan on just staying friends.
Good Luck
